Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Oz |
![]() Well, I think it's cool, and I am actually trying to get a similar effect for a sig I'm working on. It's a cockpiut few of han and chewie going into hyperscpace. So if you could share the wealth. . . |
Lunatic (VI) Mad Scientist From: the Psychiatric Ward |
![]() I have not seen any one here do this yet... We have mixed polor chords and fire... but not stars. |
Nervous Wreck (II) Inmate From: Florida |
![]() i have to say i like the second one the most. as it was said by eyezaer, it feels like your just zipping along. might be neat to even see a small rocket or ship of some sort rocking around in the star tube like an old atari game. |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: Mexico |
![]() Or that star wars effect when they travel super fast =) |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: 92064 |

![]() Nice trick Hugh, it works very well. Now I wonder if it can be combined with a noise filter to achieve this Star Wars effect... |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: The Demented Side of the Fence |
![]() Polar coordinates method, I only ran [filter>blur>motion blur] a couple of times before applying [filter>distort>polar coordinates]. I didn't use [filter>distort>spherize], instead I used [filter>distort>pinch] to make everything seem a little smoother. |

Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: columbus, ohio, usa |
![]() Hey! |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: Mexico |
![]() I find mahj effect to look more like spines rather than stars =P |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF |
![]() Hey hugh...ummm...if you looks at your 'stars' going out the sides of the frame...they don't loo quite like stars...more like...sperm.... |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: The Demented Side of the Fence |
![]() Alevice; I tried to emulate this warp effect, which is also used in the starwars films. |
Nervous Wreck (II) Inmate From: R'dam, Netherlands |
![]() If you look closely at my stars you'll see that some appear to be closer than others, because they are moving with different speeds and have a different shade. I haven't seen this in the work of you guys. I think that this effect makes the 'universe' look less flat. |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: The Soft Cell |
![]() I think jstuartj did a pretty good job with his portahole sig as seen in the Asylum's most favourite sig thread. would've posted a link to his sig but it might be seen as a bit of an invasion |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: Den Haag: The Royal Residence |
![]() Now someone puts some color filters over it get the lsd and there is as party... |
