Topic awaiting preservation: Tech-Slop has moved again (Page 1 of 1)

I am very not happy. Those basterds at my ISP are mucking around with webspace again, and there is no telling if or when it's coming back. No notice, warning, or answers of any kind. Jerk-offs. Mirroring Tech-Slop was bound to happen, but now it's a full-on move.

For PFL, I'm working on the front page blog. A very simple PHP/XML thing using prax.php. I was shopping around for blog scripts when I found How to manage your Blogger. After digging through that, I quit looking for scripts and started hacking away. Good stuff and pretty easy to learn. And I'm seriously liking it. Why didn't anybody tell me about PHP/XML sooner? All I have left is to learn a little more about PHP file I/O and I'm good to go. Actually, it will be be up before I finish learning about file I/O.

Then, once I get a little more content uploaded, I'll be going back to making PDF files for download.

Poi, I'm not really sure I can teach you much more about Displace. I might be able to teach you a few more little tricks, but you have shown that your Displace foundation is rock solid. During the Power Distort rambles, you pulled a trick that was *very* unexpected. When I get back into it, I'll be talking about that trick.

Found out what happened.
Woman has an account. It comes with an e-mail and webspace.
I have an e-mail addy under her account and the space that I use is under her e-mail addy.
Well, her e-mail got whiped out and it took the space with it.
I lost the space and she lost a week's worth of e-mail (she checks it once every several weeks).
She re-entered her e-mail and we have the space back.
Now I just have to upload it again.

Gotta go.
