Since I have time on my hands now, I have decided to go ahead and start working on my webhosting company. Here is what I came up with so far and would like to know your opinion. This is just a front page, so none of the links work. Wanted to check out if I can move further ahead with it.
that guy scares me. Is he their tech support? I dont like that color at the top of the page...
Yup, I would say... I dont know much about page layouts, but the layout loooks good to me.
I would address the colors. That bit of bluish stuff down at the bottom of the page, that is good. I would specifically change that yellow color at the top, and the gray background. Oh, and That dude.... he needs to go.
oh yah... I forgot to say, thos buttons go all blurry whey ya mose over them... ya might wanna fix that mate!

1. Looks pro
2. Brave (but working) colors
3. No metatags
4. Opera5, Mozilla, IE6, looks identical
5. NS4.74 has a long horiz scrollbar and lacks bgcolor in some <td></td>
(place a nbsp in there and it should be fixed)
6. Cool pic... :-)
7. Maybe a bit more contrast needed on the main navigation,
the white blends too well with the yellow.
In short, looks good and should work professionally.

Ducati: As usual you've got a good strong look going there and I like it - it certainly isn't like other firms pages!! Where do you get your models from?? Some thoughts:
1. I just don't feel the colours are working for me - that gray doesn't go with that yellow. I might be tempted to say get rid of the gray (heresy!!) and go for stronger colours like the yellow. Why not really stand out?
2. Metatags?
3. You have a lot of empty code cells - this being a peronal favourite (its like minimalist HTML):
4. Related to the above and to other aspects (specifically your use of PRE again) - use more/some CSS and get rid of the FONT tag.
5. I'm not sure why you are using that absolutely positioned layer. As you are using tables for the rest of the design avoid cross browser hassle and do the same there (or get rid of tables and don't use positioning!!).
Overall it is looking good but I feel with a few tweaks it could look great.

I agree with most of the comments so far - nice crisp clean layout, strong presentation.
A bit boring by my standards, but that's not necessarily a bad thing...
One MAAJOR point - I must echo eyezaers concerns about that greenish/yellow bit at the top.
That is just horrbily ugly
I am also a little concerned that with all of that open space it still doesn't fit at 800x600.....not good There's no reason yo can't keep your design intact and make it liquid. With that minimal conten, it should be able to work at 640x480 even.
the PHOTO is BAD.
there, i got it out.
now look at it, max - there's a shadow behind him, and to HIS right. which means that the light comes from in front of him, on his left. (hold up your right hand, the light is coming from that rough direction)
right?
well.... the entire left side of his face is in the shade, meaning that the light is coming from his right, almost at a right angle. (put your left hand on the left side of the monitor, the light is coming from that rough direction)
something is wrong here.....
people have already voiced their opinions about the colour on the top bar - and i echo them.
try using one of the other colours in the site - like the orange in "ENHANCED". perhaps.
other things:
- i realise that you don't want to be conventional, but it took me a while to figure out exactly what company this site is. i automatically look in the top left, then top right corners, and that didn't really help.
- is the phone number important? if so, you may want it to be on the screen without scrolling in 1024x768. it looks like the site is 'complete' without scrolling in this res... so i really wouldn't be tempted to move it if i wasn't reviewing. in fact, that also means that i miss your 'corporate grey/blue-ish' patch too.
- are the menu options going to blur onmouseover when they actually work? because, imho, the link should look inviting onmouseover, so that the person is encouraged to click. do i make sense?? some links even give extra details when you mouseover, like "a list of all our products and prices" when you go over a 'products' link - yours give less information when you mouseover them
- another 'my opinion' thing... that "order now!" button seems to cheapen the site no end. the rest of it looks really classy and stylish, all very cool, and that jsut makes it look like an infomercial... like something is wrong, because it really should be flashing. i reckon it would still get sufficient eye attention if it was the same as the other options - the fact that it is on the end will alone give it extra focus.
okay, the faults are picked - time to say: max, i love it! the graphics are really crisp and fresh, most of the colours work, and the black and white pictures really make it stylish. good work!
another thing tho... that white space at the bottom b4 the blue... its dont flo ya know?
I wish you would replace it with that blue stuf below it.
The text tat says "starting at 2799 a month" should be that orange color me thinks. There is no other blue like that on the page.... and the 99.9%, being white on a light gray bg, is hard to read... it would be good it it was also the orange color. it would really make those bits of text pop out and flo.

Much better on the orange as opposed to that yellowish stuff. I think that it feels a little top heavy. It would be cool if you could get it to center in the middle of the screen vertically...maybe...I don't know, have to see what it would look like.
Are you stuck "with" that picture or are you stuck "on" that picture? I doubt that you need any pics but I am sure that I could round up something that would fit a little better.
Ducati: Much better although I'm not convinced by that blue bar at the bottom.
ne thing that is nagging at me is that there has been a lot of work on the use of colour and I know you don't want to be too corporate but it may be that you might have to look more corporate to give people the right impression. There are others around who have a better grasp of these matters so perhaps they might want to thow their ideas in. The wrong colours could mean lost sales.
Well.. I made some changes... maybe this will get me better review...
Is this better? I know front page looks like shit in NN 4.7 Can't figure out why? I cleaned up all that "dirty" code that DW puts and now its all screwed up.. I should of leave it with the junky code lol
Now I think those changes will reflect more on the type of the business it is. I also changed the name
Pfffuuu... lots of work with this thing...and there is shit load to be done...
Ok.. I just wanted to do a little progress check before I go further. PLease check the working links and give me your input...
It should fit now... It does on mine =(
DL...the reason I put that in there is because it goes with the picture... frustration, madness...this is just for the "emotional" purpose only. You don't think it fits with the theme?
Thanks guys!

Ducati - it *does* fit, but as a scondary concept...
1st and foremost is to get the idea across that you are offereing Web Hosting soultions....not just 'imaginative' ones
And of course, with the limited content on that page, there should be no problem getting it all to fit on just about *any* size screen....
Might be a good idea to reduce the size of the picture a bit to better facilitate that.
{{edit - checked out the links, and all the inner pages look pretty good (except that they also don't fit at smaller resolutions, and could easily...). Very clean, very straightforward. Nice work.

hey again!
i've been looking through your pages, and one thing arises that i want to point out - page layout.
although it is consistent throughout, it really seems to change dramatically according to the amount of type on the page.
if we look at the page, we can divide it into four boxes:
top - nav
mid left - title and picture
mid right - page text
bottom - footer and logo.
if you ask me, all four boxes should appear in the same spot on the page - the only one that changes in size is the mid right one. IMO, that should be the one that scrolls.
tell me if you don't understand.

I want the main links to do something on mouseover...
the mousover on your text links tends to make them blend with the rest of the text by making then identical to it (kind of makes me lose my place and de-emphasizes them)....
the "about us" photo just doesn't work for me. It's funny but a little too silly....
Otherwise the site is DOPE - simple, not too corporate, and definately something I would respond to if I was looking around for those services.
now hook me up bro' and check my check my site and let me know what you think of it here
