*Way* big imo. And from outta left field comes this observation. I think you should be able to do 'something' (big help eh<lol> that will give the illusion that you've cut right through to the blue background/border here.
It's the same rgb value as yours no? Is it the 1 pxl outline that has to be changed? Perhaps it's the 'halo' effect that has to be reduced. Maybe it's a case of using the 2 message background colours to outline your name?
I really like it but think there's a more effective illusion in there somewhere... just waiting to jump out.

And fwiw the only other sig I recall that took advantage of the 'blue' here... was 3rdperson. Likely there have been others... but none that jump to mind.

"it sucks" is no feddback or critic. ignore this

well, maskkkk once again, i like the sig, but you should resize it..letz say to 50%

and maybe add a lil border?
nah, letz have a look at it when it is resized, maybe it doesn't need one.

I liked it better with the transparency. But smaller. Try (on the layer with the sphere on it) Layer>>Matting>>defringe by 1 pixel.
And when you use a graphic sig your name under it seems redundant.

My Suggestion:

: Remove the glow.
: Resize !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (smaller)
: Keep the transparency you made.

Actually, I am impressed with the new one, the transparent one. All you have to do is make it look more like a sphere. Right now it looks like pentagons and hexagons inside a circular mask. Try airbrushing to give depth, and also illiminate those disturbing jaggies. Or even a gradient overlay, lighting effects maybe, and of course some resizing. Also change the damn font, making it transparent cut the font's anti-aliased style off, or maybe you didnt select anti-aliased when you made it transparent. Try starting with no backround at all, no blue, just gray and white squares. Then make the circle/globe or whatever with all the pentagons. Then make a seperate layer with a good pixel font, not some cut off shit. Anti-aliasing your work and then using a matte for transparency is important, use 40,04,04 (RGB) for your matte when you select transparency.

This is the best one I have seen from you yet. IMO.

And FYI I am a freshman thankyou .

I like the blue version with the glow, although I haven't seen it without. I think that it could be resized down though: maybe 25 to 50 percent.

Ah, there we go, that's more like it Insider, that's the critizim I was looking for.

Now how the heck do you get rid of jaggies again?
(I always seemed to have a problem with them...)

Anti-Aliasing. Be sure that the little radio button box is checked when you use the marque tool. And use a matte when you save transparencies, that should do the trick .

I like the transparent sig also. It seems the font are not working. Try another font. I don't think anti-aliasing is going to help.

Extend the polygon edges, by the thickness of the edges, beyond the sphere on all sides. It will add more realism. Raised surfaces stick up at the edge of an object. They are not level with the surface.

Glows aren't big around here. I guess it because they tend to be overused.

I agree that this sig should be smaller. Jaggies are usually cured with guassian blur and levels but you have to save the selection as a new channel first. Then you use guassian blur and levels to rid yourself of the jaggies. Load the channel as a selection and fill with your color.

the lighting is confusing me. The highlight on the sphere indicates that the light is coming from the top left, but the highlight on the 3d parts of the pentagon lattice seem to be lit from the top right. I think that this is affecting the quality of your sig.

errr, oh! the sig, sorry I wasn't talking about your sig Maskkk.

I like the transparent one, like Izzay's said.
want to get rid of those jaggies? why don't you try to make a little inner shadow, would give a good spheric effect and will dark your borders, so the jaggies will be more adaptated to the BG....

if you could turn that earlier border into a "anti-emboss" effect you would get something really really cool, methinks

Hmm since I'm getting mixed reviews on this one, I think I just figured out why....

I came home for Thanksgiving vaction and it doesn't look as good on my parents trinitron monitor as it did at school on my crappy monitor, so maybe it has something to do with that...there must be a way around this.

Just outta curosity who has a "bright" monitor and who has sort of a dark one?
