Well, I put this in my blog today so I thought I might as well post it in here too.

As of June 5th my title in life is going to change a little bit. I took a position with a computer training company called New Horizons. They specialize in one day classes for loads of software apps. They offer anything from basic Windows up to Microsoft, Oracle, and Cisco certifications as well as others.

I'll be starting with the basics - IE, Windoze, and MS Office- but after I have been there for a while and have some experience I'll be able to move into fun stuff like HTML, Dreamweaver, and PHOTOSHOP! YES!

I'm pretty excited about it, but a bit sad at the same time. I posted a very long entry on my site about it so take a look there if you want to know more.

Well, good luck, krets. Hope things work out in this new direction you're going.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of funny stories from teaching. I know I do, and I just to tech support/troubleshooting. You have no idea what some people do to their computer or expect from their computer.

One time, I helped out a guy who had never even touched a computer. I had to teach him how to use a keyboard and everything. It took a while, but the sense of fulfillment is definitely worth it.

Good luck again, and hope the baby's doing well

Krets.. congrats man... you will like it. I went to my MCSE training classes to New Horizons. They are the biggest ( I think) training provider in US. My work has a huge contract with them. They provide training for our employees and stuff like that. Pretty good institution.

I actually will go for Win2K training soon... guess where... heheheh

Good luck man.

Good luck, Krets.

Reading your blog I would have to say that I agree with you 100% about parents. It's a shame that you won't really be teaching kids anymore.

It's your God, they're your rules, YOU go to Hell.

All the best in your new direction, should be stimulating and bring about some surprises (good ones ) and various eye openers!
Nothing like an about-face to shake us loose and stimulate our point of vue on the world (which tend to get us bogged down when we've been doing the same thing for too long, of course that's only my interpretation and speculation on what may have happened )

I wish you the very best in your new venture. You touched many childrens lives ..... so many were ones that didn't get the attention or love that you gave That is such a passion of mine. To touch lives of children in abused, from neglected homes and products of divorce. A part of you lives on there......

You will carry that to your new job and help others....doing something that is rewarding for you in a field that is a passion you enjoy !

Best of luck and stuff.......
