I've been "hanging" around the web recently and found www.photoshopclub.com by alexdg.com . Very nice site but I think the name is too big for a site. It's just another photoshop tutorials site and the vote says that 'it rocks!'. They have a nice ezboard forum too.... |

I found the format increadibly frustrating. The aqua pill tute was well done, but having to re-load the page for every step was almost more than my attention span could handle. |

I agree, the design sucks. I bet even I could make a better one. |

Ouch, that's gotta sting. It's too bad the person who designed the site isn't here to take all this wonderful detailed critiquing into consideration. |

I have a bit of a internet marketting background. AlexDG made that site to make money. It was actually pretty smart of him to place each of the 25 steps on different pages. Each time someone views a new step, the banner refreshes, and he makes more money. It might be a pain, but it's a good design (at least for making money). |

For starters I have a cable modem and it loaded quickly for me. I dont see why Rick thinks photoshopclub.com is too big of a name. I think its a good name because its easy to remember, spell, and has to do with the site. What else do you really look for in a name? I found the overal layout really well down. It looks nice and professional. The reloading I could deal with. Like mbridge said he is out to make money. Also, whats the difference between 30 pages with a paragraph on each or one page with 30 paragraphs? The loading time doesnt take that long and I think it makes the tutorial a lot easier. Its less confusing that way. |

Hmm, ya know what *could* have been cool and pretty good design? Alex should have set up a scroll where when you click the arrow, the pointer moves over to the next step and a new layer with the new step is shown. I guess the way he has now is just more cross browser compatable though ... |

the site is cool, and easy to read... I thought the way the tuts were presented were fine, I'm connected at 26.4 right now, and it loaded as quick as I could hit "next" on the different tuts... quite cool... |

I think the page is nice. I am on a 56k and the tutorials seem to load very quickly compared to most pages I visit. almost no wait time. |

Heh, I don't actually *do* tutorials anymore, what I want to do is read through the steps quickly and se if he did anything unique I might want to start working with. I was never able to get an overview of the process, breaking things up that much makes it so that you can do the tute like a "cookie cutter", but you can't just get the concept and do your own play. I hated it, and never actually got to the end of the aqua method he was supposed to be describing. Will it make banner money? Possibly, at least until better, more user friendly sites come around. Like October 1st, for instance! |

I hate the way he present the tutorials as weel as the article...you have to load them for each step and actually contributing some some couple of bucks...the site rocks, though, I never really get into those tuts.. |
