I'm looking for a free thumbnailing program that gives you control over the compression settings on the thumbnails. He's using something now called 20/20 or something thereabouts and the thumbs quality is awaful, the rest of it he is satisfied with. I just need something simple that he can use himself so I don't have to do all the updating. |

| Paranoid (IV) Mad Scientist From: Inside THE BOX | posted 01-05-2001 20:16 That's what I do. I use File > Automate > Fit Image to get the images the size I want, add some sharpening, make it an action and batch process them. Then I create a droplet in ImageReady and compress them in one swoop. |

The majority of them are shareware but theres also a few freeware programs. I dunno, take a look. BTW, your buddies 20/20 is there too ... |
| Maniac (V) Inmate From: out of a sleepy funk | posted 01-06-2001 01:20 Thanks fellas. I think I'll start with the 20/20 and see if he's just not finding the proper widgets that set things. I appreciate the help. I guess a Photoshop forum is a silly place to ask for personal recommendations on thumbnailing freeware, everyone here just uses PS, uh Duh. |
