Looks purdy good. I like the texture of it but it looks like you were going for an "aged" appearance. So beat it up some more! Add some rust or corrosion or nicks/dings etc.

methinks me likes more or less...seems a bit too "done before" but i'm okay with that. i don't like the bevels on the buttons when they're rolled over...seem too blurry, where the rolloff bevel is rather sharp. might think about changing that.

otherwise, more words on bevel construction: they don't look like they belong on that texture, as they themselves have no texture. might want to take that into consideration and overly the same texture on them...my point; they look unrealistic. since you're going for a more realistic feel on this one, i'd say it's important to make it look...well...real. cheers on a good start.

I like it jackal. Nice feel overall, but I have to go with twitch -- the bevels are a bit off. I think the biggest problem is that strong white -- it makes it look more like plastic than stone. I'd play with the color of the highlight, as well as the blending mode and opacity a bit.

hmm...is it just me or do the bevels on the rollover look store bought...sorry jackal just don't like the look...definitely plastic...the texturing looks a little uniform...i agree beat it up more...and make that green thingy more glassy w/a reflection and you've got a winner...or maybe the shape bugs me...if i'd done it i'd probably gone for a more extreme shape...something really fucked up...

nice work jackal, i like the texture.
ignoring the crappy rollovers ( ), ill just comment on two things:
- the pointy bits on the stones around the orby thing are too sharp, IMO. if you were to "beat it up a little" as krets suggested, i would shorten the pointy bits a little, make it look like a point that one could actually achieve on stone in the real world.
- the orb bugs me. for one, i dont think the color suits the rest of the i'face, plus it just dont look like anything real. dont get me wrong, its a pretty good job, but i feel that the edge of the orb, at least, needs a little treatment. maybe a highlight on the bottom right of the orb is all it needs? i dont know. or more of a gem type of thing, with facets, and less of the rocky b/g.

I only got one complaint.
