Remember Andyart.com which then became screamdesign.com? Well guess what? They want you to pay $29.95 a year to get access to their site. |

They've been going downhill (IMHO) since the change to Scream Design. Any was cool, really, really cool. SD, is not. It was a bad move on Andy's part. However, sometimes you've got to take chances. |

AndyArt seemed to have a smidgeon of commercialism to it where as ScreamDesign seems to Scream "show me the money"! |

Andys Art Attack used to be ok.. but I've exchanged a few emails with the guy, and he's a real prick. No joke, the guy seemed like a total ass through email. I havent been back to his site since. |

From what I remember of his sites, he didn't offer advice, he sold services. So you can't really say you can come to the asylum instead, they are two completely different contents. However I would agree, you can go to so many other places and get the same tutorials, and other resrouces for free, nobody is going to pay for it if they know there are other sites out there. |

Heh, you gotta be pretty full of yourself to think that people should pay to gaze upon your magnificent design page. Of course, if this guy is as much of an asshole as Tycho says, then he obviously doesn't care about what his peers think of him. He may be trying to break into a corporate niche market of do-it-yourself execs who are totally clueless and figure anything that's being charged for must be better than anything that's free. |

Yah, I expect to remain free, this IS my hobby, I like doing it! I may come up with little schemes periodically to try and pay a few server bills, like the t-shirt store and such, but I know what you need to do if you wanna cut your traffic by 95%, and it involves money, heh. Seriously, I wouldn't mind being rich, so many toys out there that cost big bucks, but I have other plans that could make that happen, no point tainting one of the purest and best things I ever created. |

Doc, what you really need to make is one of those giant foam pointing fingers you get at basketball games and stuff. Instead of having the index finger pointing you could just have the middle finger pointing ... it would be awesome ... |

Well, so far all I can get printed is t-shirts, mousepads and mugs. Finding the store is now *really* really easy, just go to a page that doesn't exist, you'll get there! (Heh. I noticed that "lost.html" was my second most frequently visited page, next to the front door! Now you get to the store.) I just got a nice shipment in from CafePress, with mugs, mousepad, and shirts. The white shirt came out SUPER cool, very sharp graphics, nice and bright. The grey shirt looked really bad, I'm going to pull it from the lineup, do not buy one of these, please! The mugs and mosuepad are my favorites, though I'm going to add a bit more definition around the logo on the mugs, still, the definition and clarity is frigging *awesome*. I'll be adding more photos to the store gallery, and I'll also be looking through my image archives to see which images might also loook good on a white background, not easy for me! |

"white plasic'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that wont do around these parts..sheesh.. wont last five minutes unless we also get "Asylum Bibs" for some of our drooling asylumnites... might consider a nice white pine maybe? or spruce? F1 I reckon knows his woods.. heh.. definately not plastic Doc... plus its not very enviromentally friendly ya know... hardly biodegradable... some poor person from the future would dig itup and think its some strange prehistoric spear with a furry tail and strange orangey markings? |

Two words: White Oak. White Pine is waaay to soft. Another thing you could try is a beached walnut, the wood grain on that would look nice. Maybe the wood.dex on that? |

heh, even a spell checker wouldn't have helped me with that one. I ment to say 'bleached', but your right, beached would be better. Maybe the greens would stop ridding my ass about heating with wood then. |

Oddly enough, last time I was at the beach I came across some beached walnut. So doc, do you have the official Ozone 200" Jumbo-tron yet? Im itching to get it set up for Super Bowl. |
