Where in the reg do you change the setting for auto-shutdown?

My comp used to shut itself off after I choose shutdown.

Now I get the "It is now OK to turn off your computer" and it doesn't turn itself off...

Whats up with that?

is it Windows 98? If so follow these steps:


Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information.


On the Tools menu, click System Configuration Utility.


On the General tab, click Advanced.


Uncheck the Disable Fast Shutdown check box, click OK, and then click OK.


Click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer.

Well, twitch, one needs to shut down anyway or he has to wait for the stupid scandisk thing when they start up...
