IF you haven't seen it www.nosepilot.com is one of the most awesome flash pieces I have ever seen but now he's getting nailed for $16K in what is quickly becoming an ugly legal issue. He has a journal of whats going on up on the site. Ironically I too have had a bad expierience with this company. I have a few friends that are lawyers or in school in CA I'm gonna see if any of them have any advice. I always get the willies when I read about things like this, what with my higher traffic sites totalling out at about 60gig/month, 1/4 of what Nosepilot is being charged for. Ouch! I don't have an extra $4000 a month, thank you very much! I'm pretty sure I'm still cool, VISI handles the main OZONE site, for which I doubt I'll ever really be charged, and the Dreamohost sites only really have this one and handson.nu for bigger bandwidth, 6 gigs and 15 gigs respectively. (I get 5 gigs per domain, they host 10 domains for me and their support people assured me I could lump it all together, cool!) I still worry what will happen when I move the the new Dreamhost2 service, I know it automates the notification process, and I do not think it understands about lumping quotas, heh. Hard to say what should happen with nosepilot, and what, if anything, we could do about it. (I've aready resolved not to host with gisol.com!) I'm all too aware of how close to the edge we all hang, if you actually manage to create something popular, you can be in big trouble. Where's the justice? Your pal, -doc-
