This is in response to an older question about how to get a search engine on your desktop, I made this page...
http://www.karl.nu/slime/misc/desktoppage.htm

Don't actually go to the page. Right click on that link, and select "save target as", then save the page to somewhere on your hard drive. Right click on your desktop, go to "properties", and click "browse", then select the page where you saved it. Hit OK, and then have fun with your new desktop. =)

Any suggestions, post them here...

Your kidding, right? (Sorry, but I can't help but chuckle at the question, even if it is in jest.)

If it's on your harddrive, it's editable.

Hasn't *anyone* tried clicking on "Customize desktop"??? That's the whole point of this! You can change *everything*, including the links!

That's a sweet page, Slime. I don't suppose you have a version that works with a dual monitor setup?

Good catch, just fixed that bug...

I don't know how to make it work with dual monitors, what ends up happening? That's probably something that you have to work out with your display properties, or something. Not sure.

yeah, the page either stretches out or one end just stretches to the extra desktop. So far, desktop webpages aren't working well with my dual monitor setup. then again, I don't mind

I have a question. This is an awesome tool for me at work. How hard would it be to add an optional txt field where you can enter quick notes or something with a save button that would save to a txt file(probably not possible for web format) or it could just email txt to a preset email address for the save?

If it's a hassle it OK but It would be cool.
