Funny story.

So I thought I'd buy this domain and just host it there because it's all cheap and stuff. Okay, great. Oh, I know, I'll have a contest to see who can do the best site! Yes! This will rock!

The month goes on without a hitch. Lots of submissions. And then...the day I finally put up the winners (a few days late in light of Shi's ailments and drama there) I get an email.

"You've exceeded your bandwidth."

Oh.

You didn't list anything about bandwidth on whatever-the-fuck it was that I signed up for.

The email didn't respond to that comment. Sad, too. I wanted to punch that fucking email.

So aaaaaanyway, little issue there involving money. Figure a few dollars. More than a few, because I put the whole site on one card and, well, it exceeded my limit on that card.

It was the only charge on that card.

Okay, so now I'm nervous. I call that number that you've all conveniently listed for me, and I leave a message. I figure they'll call me back and try to barter with me. I won't barter. The site, as cool as it is, isn't worth the $4k that they'll probably talk down to.

Okay, so it'll be back shortly. I will move the domain and all the materials over to my mainstay server, and never, ever, use another service again.

Let this be a lesson to all of you.

..and someone get me some damn Scotch.

And if anyone wants to read the reviews posted about the sites, http://th-inknet.com/ct is where I housed them. I actually planned ahead, and figured that those four html files would be the highest hit things over the next few days, so I put them on my main server.
