Well. Its been a rough weekend here in Houston, TX. I think we made it thorough OK tho. I know there are a few other ppl here from Houston. I hope no one from here was one of the 16 ppl who lost their life this weekend due to flooding.

I wish everyone the best! stay dry.

Yeah....She was on an elevator. Here is a quote from a Yahoo news arcticle.

"One of the city's deaths occurred when a 42-year-old woman drowned in an elevator that filled with water when it descended to the flooded basement of a downtown skyscraper, police said."

Can you imagine being on an elevator and drowning? I wouldnt wish that on anyone.

But drowning in say, the bathroom, you'd wish that on someone?

Seriously though, that is horrible. Best wishes to all of you.

Don't worry, everything has a way of working out. Next month, you'll have a drought

Seriously, glad to hear you're okay.

Yup, Fiiday night will not go on the * Favorite Friday Hignt * list. But only minor car damage and a seriously shitty weekend. Could have been alot worse up here. Some places got almost 26 inches of rain in 48 hours. We only got about 16.

JK: if this gets to you in time there`s only a few places still under water , mostly clean up now.
Can you say HUMIDITY ? Sun was shining and 90 degrees today.

Nature can be a bitch.

Your town was nice and soggy looking from the aeroplane, half-flooded golf courses are even more beautiful than fully dry ones.. Looked like a swamp. And h-u-m-i-d bleah. Good thing these computers are making real, outdoor life obsolete.

I havent checked my storage space either. When I rented it I asked if they ever flooded. They told me not in the 15 years they had been there.......Im kinda scared to go look.

I am doing OK after all this flooding. Tho my van is in the shop with a water logged transmission. Uggh. There were a lot more ppl worse off than I.

Now today....over a week since the first floods and traffic lights are still messed up in some area. Houston hasnt had a bad storm in a long time Allison is going to be felt for some time to come.
