Why does this topic keep getting deleted?

I said:

Heh, good one Max. I agree, the delete topic feature should only be available to admins, regardless if you started the topic or not.

This is getting plain silly. I am getting sick of spending "work time" posting here and watching it disappear. I have been on the clock for 17 hours straight with a lot more to go, and I am no mood for BS...

ok, there i go again:
I wrote this to the whie trash in the deleted topic (coward)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, i was tring not to write, but i couldn't help.

So, Mr. reality whitewash, do you mind if i'm honest too?

Thanks, you were right:

quote:
The movement of the rulers is a little too frantic for my liking, but who cares

Yes, Who cares about your opinion? you know, we are not use to see an asshole to come here and says "That's it?" just after looking one of the sites, and after loking all the sites, he ranked them!

You have to learn that each one of us has his own perspective, yes we give our opinion, as the Doc's has said many times, we live in a democracy, but we never say "that's it?" we always try to give some tips to improve what others had made. We don't come here and say, Hey Wakkos, I think that your site is Ranked F, so, FUCK OFF. Where are your exelenets works?
Who the hell are you to come and say to us what's good and what's not?

Do you really think that we are going to change our sites because you ranked them "F"?
nobody here cares about your ranking and your honesty, so you can go anywhere else with them....

You rated Mr.Max site D, have you ever seen what this guy can make?
And others, were rated N/A, are you so fucking crazy?

i really think you are, coming here in that way.

Cyoung, you're right............................

Deleter.

Myself, as well as other members of the Asylum, have spent a good deal of time responding to the now seemingly deleted thread. When I saw the discussion getting out of hand, I quickly added another reply suggesting everyone to come down and wait for the started to submit his own work for review. While that might not have been an appropriate way of handling it, I feel it was satisfactory. In all honesty, there wasn't anything overly bad said in that thread. My problem is, any other discussion like that would have continuted. I'm not sure whether it was the author, or a fellow Mad Scientist, being that my thread was also deleted, but out of common curtiousy, could you please post the reason as to why it was deleted?

In my year and change here, I've been witness to many discussions that have gone off course and have been personally involved in many that were much more offending. I have never closed any of these because I was under the impression that we were allowed to say, with in reason, what was on our chest. When the entire community was against me in the discussion over digital art being real art, I did not archieve the discussion. I also did not delete it. From the best of my knowledge I did not close it either.

I'm sorry to say I don't have the confidence that I can say what I feel without being banned anymore. I think this is a low point for the Asylum.

Yeah, I was reading the original post earlier, and I was really irritated by it. Alot of people don't post their professional work here because, well for one, it would just be inappropriate. So therefore many of the sites/work that is posted or up for review are either personal sites/blogs. I don't necessarily think that every site submitted here is the best thing since sliced bread or disposible lighters, but jeezus... a letter grade system that includes "F"s? WTF is up with that?

I don't even have a personal site that could recieve an F, because I don't even have a personal site that is up, guess that makes me a double -F ... I have no place to criticize, and neither does whitetrash - so I don't, and neither should he.

Should every blog you stumble across force you to do a double take and re-evaluate your work and your life as a designer? It's just a freekin' blog! And the thing is, when you look at some of the blogs posted here, speaking for myself of course, I often do re-evaluate my life... as in, "Damn.... I suck, maybe I should go back to waiting tables!".

You have just as much right to critique work here as somebody who has a site up and submitted for review, so does whitewhateverhisnamewas for that matter. It is just the manner that you do it in.

I have never submitted anything for review here (or anywhere else) because everything I have done, and am still doing is professional. I can't imagine stealing a client or company's bandwidth so I can gain a review from a community that has no say in the functionality or design. No disrespect meant, *I* would value everyone's opinion, but I do not believe my clients would in most cases.

Anyways, am I wrong thinking that I cannot state my opinion in a constructive manner? I do not think so...
