Dark: I really didn't want to get into all of this but it's now posted and out so lets clear the air. I'm hoping you will stop posting in all the topics to keep things heated up and that you will stop all the games and cussing people out everytime you get called on something. You came here a month ago and and so far you've set the record on how many post a person can do in a month .........yet you have done nothing more than cause problems. It's sooooo not cool.

There are a few issues and I can post URL's if you need me to. (IF they aren't deleted)

1.) You DID post as Dark with a Focus sig. I saw it and so did others. Several members took a screen cap of it before you deleted it and reposted as Dark with your own sig. AND I think it's best you don't compare Sunset and Catus again, so I don't have to get into that issue, too

2.) You have a Mustang ............ Focus says he has a Mustang

3.) You say you are 19............ Focus says he's 19

4.) You say you use Time Warner Cable ........ Focus says he uses Time Warner Cable.

note Time Warner Cable isn't in England where Focus says he's from.

5.) When you post something.....Focus post right behind you like a puppy telling you how cool and smart you are.

6.) You say you are in college.........Focus is off in college

7.) The day Doc started the IP Tracker and whirrr was on the forum....Focus never posted again.......but you kept saying....... ohhhhhhh buddy ol pal where are you when I ask him to post about his car AND you then said.......my next door neighbor has a Mustang like his so I can answer your question....about if Focus had any problems with his Mustang.

8.) You both talk and use smilies in the same way.

9.) I won't get into the other names being used at this point.

10.) You did email me and a few others.........so yes IP #'s were matched by a few members.

You're busted....so let it go. Maybe you did it as a joke or just to fit in ... I don't know or care....just stop. Stop the deleting post ......the name calling.......the posting games and childish crap, as the only thing your many post the past month since you came here has done is cause problems.

1st of all I'd like to say I don't see how anyone could possibly see me as being Dark,
2nd of all I don't think that knowing where I went to is any of your business, however for your information. I flew to the United States to see my brother and his girlfriend before school started. So no I didn't "disappear".
thirdly Soc-X you are full of shit. You claimed that dark was the greatest thing
to ever happen to this forum all through his topic "Dreams of the strong"
not once, but several several times! Now you claim he has no use and that
he can provide apsolutly nothing to this forum? That doesn't make much
sense to me. As for the issues with DL-44? I think you need to stop
provoking him. I also believe that DL needs to relax a bit more and not
take everything so seriously. Dark there was been several time that come to mind where 'you' started a fight.You both have the tendency to be assholes, no
offence to either of you, but it's the truth. Soc-X seems to have pissed more
than one person of in this forum, and Dark you won't be the last I assure you. Dark I really don't have any clue why or if in fact you really did post
my sig and i am not concerned with that in the least, however I might as well
say this....dark you need to past your own work and if you post someone else's
just say so. Give credit to their hard work. my sig was created with
"Unlead" so I suppose it is possible for Dark to have made my sig, but in reality he didn't. I have only seen a couple of Dark's sigs, but I can tell when he has made it. He doesn't possess the skills needed to make spectacular
sigs and he knows that. i have the full version of PSP7, photoshop, Gimp, Unlead
And I have even tried my hand at creating my own program. So look at my sig and tell me. Can this be made with paint!? Shi Anyways I hope I cleared any assumptions up. If I didn't I will be quite pleased to abolige to anything that will. Dark

I don't know if you're Focus and i don't care, i don't care even if you're Dark or not. The only thing that i care is that i'm loosing my time posting stuff that are going to be deleted. Metahedron created the "Definition of I" thread... how is it that anyone but he or a moderator can delete it?

If anyone other than Metahedron deleted that topic then I am in a state of outrage. That is absolutely unacceptable! Can someone please explain how this can happen so I can be pissed off with a little more clarity?

How many people get *IP* (Internet Protocal) and *ISP* (Internet Service provider) mixed up and used in the same context..............I'd say you were 1 in the same.

An IP address check hardly settles anything. All one needs is two computers connected to the internet differently. Or a friend willing to cooperate.

IN fucking england!? you can decode a IP to see the location. i.e united states, china, england ect.

Dark, let me give you a small peice of advice. It's obvious that a lot of people here are mad at you. Personally, I haven't seen many of the episodes they've described, so I can't back them up, and I can't back you up. But here's the deal; if you (or anyone) want to be liked, you have to be humble about stuff like this. Stop defending yourself. If you're truly not doing any of this, then continue to not do it. If you are doing any of it, then honestly admit it and stop doing it, and perhaps people will get over it, given time. But you must realize that when people are mad at you, and you want them not to be, you're the one who has to change. Because, even if they should, an angry person will rarely consider your opinion. see what I'm saying? You've got the attitude of "i'm right here and i'm going to prove it." drop that, and think, "regardless of whether i'm right or wrong, these people think i'm wrong, and i've got to change their opinions about me through the way I act."

The reason people are extremely angry right now is that you've been given plenty of time to take that mindset, and haven't done it, and they're basically not willing to give you any more chance to prove yourself.

And btw- people have been throwing shit at me since my 3rd post here. The is 400 post before focus came about

I have no opinion on the whole Dark/Focus soap opera, but I do have an opinion on flat out ruining threads. I was interested in Meta's The Definition of I thread and took the time to post my thoughts there. I was looking forward to what others had to say in return, but then the topic was overtaken by an off-topic arguement and eventually deleted by whomever. I am truly disappointed in this turn of events. This is by far my favorite bulletin board on the net. I don't have much time to post here, but I do enjoy participating when I am able. I'm sorry to see this "virus" infecting the Asylum. If there is something I can do to resolve this problem, then let me know what I can do. If this trend continues, though, I will move on and spend my time elsewhere. I hope y'all understand ...

For the record, the only way for a post to be deleted is for a Mad Scientist to do it, something that all know is frowned upon, or for the person *who started that thread* to delete their first comment, upon which all the others are dependent. We do delete threads after they've been untouched for 30+ days, assuming nobody has archived it yet, but that's driven more by a technical need (lack of storage space!) than anything else.

I've just added a new flag, so that while we can all edit our posts, we can no longer delete them. If you said something just *way* too stupid in a post, edit it and say (foot removed from mouth) or something like that.

I still don't plan to "ban" anybody, ever. Not gonna happen.

Wow, I can't agree more. Enough is enough. However I can only agree because this whole thing has become such a soap opera. I've been gone a while, and have been reading the Asylum now for about 2-3 months. So I have a bit of a unique perspective.

I cannot believe the volume of personal attacks that have been spewed forth from both old and new members of the Asylum. And they were happening long before Dark came along. Now you need to understand that personal affronts and issues are going to come up from time to time in any group. However, the sheer volume and pissiness of the attacks that has been happening has put me into shock. I've been waiting for it to settle down a bit, before I began posting again. And this just has not happened. I can't believe that the fun Asylum has become such degenerate pool of pond scum. When did we decide (as Mad Scientists) that we were Gods? That we had the right to censor, belittle, and ban people? And once you start to censor where does it end? What is the point? If someone whom starts a topic, chooses to delete that topic, that is there right as we first put down in the Asylum when it began. You do not have to agree with them choosing to delete their own thread, but you should at least respect the right they have to do so.

This whole issue goes far beyond Dark, and any issues anyone may have with him. What you all are saying and planning is just plain wrong. If Dark is really the loser you all say he is (and I do believe he is a loser) then if you simply wait long enough, he will leave on his own. He has nothing in him to back himself up. However, the main purpose of the Asylum is to teach and learn from each other. Have any of you thought to let him learn on his own time? Perhaps in time, he may become a real contributor to the Asylum. All of you, whom are involved in these personal attacks, and issues, need to step away from your computers for a while, and relax. Maybe you've been spending a little too much time here and online, and need to remind yourselves why you first came here. And Dark is not the only person being picked on here, there are others. How many others, whom may have posted here, will not now, because of this child-like issue. All of you whom have called Dark (or anyone else) names, should apologize. This is not the way to solve any conflict. If you want to show proof or wrong doing or astroturffing, bring it forward; do not hold it back. That is an unjust way to treat anyone, no matter if they are guilty or innocent. If someone is ripping someone else's work, or is astroturffing there own posts, we as a group need to call them on it, without name calling, without threats of banning, but with kindness and humility.

Now Shizz, I'm not meaning to pick on you, but this is a perfect example of living with the blinders on: "I've been here a long time and not had any problems nor caused any." Bullfeathers. Have you already forgotten the first time you were made an MS? Don't you remember what became of that situation? For those that don't know; the Asylum was stripped to its bare bones and everyone was on equal footing. Now in all fairness to Shizz, that was not her fault. She just happened to be breaking point at that time. At that time, and now I fully support her being an MS. But back to my original point. Each of us, at one time or another, has caused conflict here, even myself. This is part of the nature of groups. However, the sheer level of conflict that the Asylum is at now, is a dangerous one. I've seen it in nearly all the forums. Name calling, bickering, pettiness, and 'Oh God, I've answered that question before. Why don't you look it up in the Archives?' All of these issues and more are ripping the Asylum apart. This is not a good thing. All of you need to settle down, chill out, and remind yourselves what brought you to this place. And if you cannot remember why you came here, perhaps you should leave, and no one else. This is just an awful way to treat each other day in and day out. It's not fair to you, to the others here, and most of all to DocOzone for giving us such a wonderful place to freely exchange ideas, and knowledge. Of course if this does not happen, and things keep growing into dangerous proportions the way they have been, there will no longer be an Asylum worth coming back to.

I will come back and check on thing again after a while, but I do not think that now is the time I rejoin the Asylum. There are issues here that I cannot agree with, and I cannot support my fellow Asylum Brothers and Sisters in. But please take all this to heart. This is a great bunch of people here, whom are all being hurt by the actions of the few.
