Ok now being back in the states, I have made some slimes

1: Ok I made 2 mad scientist/evil slimeies, one red and one green.... What you think?

2: Now the 'DOH!!!! slimie, I made 2 of these as well, difference is in the letters and clouds,

Ok, I think the mad sci/evil slimies emedded abb. should be :evil:

The doh should obviously be :doh!:

And the love should obviously be :love:

Judge and comment please...

Love the evil ones! The red is better cause it stands out more and red is a symbol of anger.

yey, I kinda liked the red better, maybe I should make it flaming like mahjqa's pissed or maybe I should give it a mustasche or maybe, just maybe, a white lab coat and glasses... LOL

I'm a bit confused... is it a mad scientist slimie or an evil slimie? If it's a mad scientist slimie I would say green.... But why are mad scientist and evil rolled up into one?

I like the DOH! slimie. I have a feeling I would use that one a lot.

And what about Slime saying that he wanted to do the new ones!

Those are some nice slimies. Personally I love their colors and look. Very cool.

I was meaning to stay out of this one as I've made my feelings clear (I hope) in the other thread but what are the MS/Psychotic slimies for? Slimies are emoticons and in what situation would you be feeling a bit Mad Scientist? (I usually get that out of my system by adding another ass to my cage full of winged monkeys).

Grumble: I took the mad slimies eyes and the grin slimies mouth and put the eyes on top of mouth, thus an evil but grinning slimie, then I hugh/saturated it and then the rend part comes in where I had to take all the colors of the mouth and eyes from the green one and put it on the red one cause the red one had red mouth and eyes before I made it look normal. The Doh! slimie is just the embarrasment slimie's ( ) mouth and then the winking slimies eye but then I took the eye and then pixel by pixel flipped it on my own, then the love slimie I took the green and just went over the eyes with some of the body colors then smudged it around to make a blank head then gave lil hearts.

Anymore questions? Do any of you personally want to use them slimies?

so..... in short..... No, you didn't render them.

and secondly, no.... don't want to use them.

I like the Doh smiley, what about just having tiny orange colour text instead of a whole speech bubble, I just think the shorter and wider the better so it affects the text around it that bit less.
I like the red MS, but I also agree with Emporer .. when would you use such a slimey ?

I'll have to agree with Emps, slimies are here to express emotions. Regardless of the situation, you can feel "Mad Scientist". Lets not take the Mad Scientist thing too far.

Well, to answer the question of whether or not I would use them, I would have to say no. My primary reason is that I respect Slime's original creation, and I know that he wanted to do the new ones...

It was a good effort, but you probably should have gone straight to Slime with them and asked him what he thought.

Those all fall into the category of what I did, sept maybe the last one but in relation I did make the majority of the slimie's, PIXEL BY PIXEL, took me some time, I would appriciate it if you would recognize that instead of classify me as a fake thankyou.

OK, ok, I've been sort of half avoiding this thread.

Insider, while I appreciate your effort, I *did* say that if new slimies were created, i'd like to be the one to create them. I mean, that's just a request; certainly I don't have full authority over anyone here. But I guess I expected it to be followed. I guess the request sorta slipped by you; I'm not mad about that, just a little unsure of how to express my dissaproval that you made them.

I also haven't replied yet because I feel sort of childish saying this, sorta like "hey! that's *my* idea! you can't take my idea!" You know what i mean.

I will give it to you that they're not bad. The image editing you did there is above average. I just want to clarify that I don't think you did a bad job or anything, it's just the principle behind it. No hard feelings.

Insider, you need to show more respect to the people who have been in this forum longer than you. You also need to learn to control what you say better. I recognize that you're younger than most of us here, but you're going to have to learn to act a little older than you're acting. Don't get angry so easily.

For instance, the sentence "Now look, about the rendition shit, get a fucking websters people" was unnecessary. If you truly thought (and I doubt it) that someone didn't know what the word "render" meant, you should have kindly pointed it out to them. I've seen you do this elsewhere; when someone insults you, you make a semi-sarcastic remark back, sort of joking that you didn't really understand that you were being insulted. Listen: if someone offends you, please, just ignore it. See if you can figure out why they said whatever they said, and learn from it so that in the future you can avoid conflict. We really don't need any more of it here than we already have. (sigh)

Just don't be so easily offended. Work on your maturity. I say that as advice, without the intention of insulting you, so please don't take it that way. You're heading down a path that I've seen other members of this board go down, and those members are now thought of extremely poorly at this point by most everyone here. You need to gain respect, not lose it. Now is the time to do your best to avoid 'pointless' posts (or ones that others may think are pointless) and work on being a beneficial addition to the community.

About the slimies? I'm sorta sorry I brought it up. I'm still willing to make some (and perhaps use some of insider's ideas), but I think most of you were being silly about the topic (silly slimes are a good idea, but not for regular use). We're going for regular emotions here: anger, joy, fear, etc.

So! If you're all still in the mood for it, we can resume discussion, but I hope that at this point everyone understands a bit better what we're trying to do.

OK, InSiDeR, deep breaths. Obviously I can't speak for anyone else, but I can assure you that I was not calling you a "fake." I was just trying to say that I thought Slime should be in charge of any new slimies.

But since we're on the subject, I really do like the "Doh!" Slimie, and that would be my top pick for implementation (not just from InSiDeR's slimies, but from any of the recommendations I've heard).

yea as of now im workin on the interface to my site, i just got fead up with yours and bugs dragable window shit, i mean i finally got it but then i had no idea how to use z-index to set boundaries and i didnt like the site anyway so lol, but i still think your site owns slime, you need a sig too, ive seen your graphic work and its what i call "nice"

This might be a silly question in light of recent discussion, but when did the original slimies become outdated? Have we developed new emotions and I didn't read the memo? Give me the 6 basic feelings: angry, big grin, confused, happy, sad, and constipated, and I'm a happy camper.

Of course anyones entitled to display any slimies they create.

Ok, maybe slimes post should be moved to the FAQ for 'slimie creation' or whatnot (it's a good bit of information...)....and we could then close this thread...I think it's ran it's meaning out...

A big kudos to Slime, for his understanding words...maybe something like that should also find it's way into the FAQ, as well...under newbies, or something...or under what not to do...

As for the whole 'slimie' issue...I really like Mahjqas flaming slimie...hope that gets added...
