I'd like to know what areas everyone specializes in.
for me it's:

Freehand - expert
Illustrator - expert
Quark - expert
Photoshop - very proficient
HTML - coming on strong

JavaScript, of course =)
Other than that, I'm decent with a few other web-oriented text-based languages, like HTML, XHTML, CSS, and I've been recently learning XML and XSL.

I also know a bit of Perl and C++, and I'm decent with POV-Ray. Math! I forgot that. Math-related things are my specialty =)

Insects!!!

actually probably php, html, buncha other junk, mainly php, cause it's great, and I use it for everything. Although I know html, css, javascript, dhtml, and php all pretty well.

Specialization? Specialization is for insects! (I felt I had to say that, heh.)

I'd be much more comfortable if you had asked for my "areas of expertise", of which I have many. I consider myself an expert in Photoshop, HTML, Javascript, PHP (now ;-), Auto Mechanics, Oriental Carpets, Childrens Books, Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Information Architecture, Systems Analysis, Buzzword Compliancy, Cartooning, Pen & Ink renderings, Perspective Drawing and Science Fiction literature. I'm also more than adequate as a bullshit artist, I can cook a tasty meal, (I know how to make Crépe Suzettes!), given the right equipment I can do a pretty neat welding job, and I'm told I give a very good backrub! There's a few other things I guess I can do; play chess, play Othello (at championship level), paint with oils, draw with pastels, sculpt with clay, that kind of stuff. I'm sure there's about 12 dozen other things I consider myself good at, but they all slip my mind right now. ;-)

What is a man, and how do you define him? I am large, I contain multitudes!

Quark - Expert (or close to it since I use it literally every day)

Chess - pretty good provided I'm paying attention to what the hell is going on.
Photography - Decent
Sleeping - Unbeatable!

I'm with Jestah on this one...I'm a tinker...a bit here, a bit there...but no real 'specialization'....I have just too much curiosity to stay in one area...

CSS - Gaining proficiency
JS - I can understand and edit scripts better than writing my own
Juggling - Intermediate
Beard Growing - Well above average.

i am very very good at doing nothing. does that count? i think so

using my brains: very good
not using my brains: even better.
handling complex machines (like really big copiers, vcr's and stuf like that)
al the rest which i am forgotten
to forget (the best... )

I'm not an expert in anything.

I don't consider myself an expert in any area because for me if I start to feel that I'm an expert in a area I think that I know every thing about it and will just become stubborn towards people who are trying to teach me new ways or new things in the areas I think I?m an expert in.

I only do my best in what I like and love doing and that counts more than classing your self as an expert. As you will not challenge yourself in what you do as you think you know it all. Maybe I?m wrong on this but that?s just my view on this.

So I?ll leave this one up to you if you think I?m an expert in a certain area or not.

Oh c'mon Petskull you have to be having sex with another person before you can consider yourself an expert. Your palm simply doesn't count.

Can't say that I'm an expert at anything. As long as there is more to learn I will never count myself as an expert on the subject. But comparing to those I socialise with in RL, I'm probalby above average in css, javascript, photoshop and php in the computer area. I'm also getting better and better at making and driking coffee

Guitar -- Expert bluesman since 5
Cars -- Can fix most anything
Building -- Rough or finish...very good.
Sleeping and Eating -- Expert
Burping -- I'd say around 80 dB
Chugging Beer -- You bring it on fella...Just make sure you have a second stomach!! Crazy!

Hey Doc you ever see that show Junkyard Wars? You should apply for it. Guess you need to find two other folks like you to do it though.

Err... I was in team coke-a-cola for in-line skating for a while.... Used to eat, breath and dance with fire. Then it just got boring...

What else..... Oh yah, I'm a cerfifabul nightmare when I don't get enough coffee... I'm also pretty handy with a pool que, um, in a bar fight at least.

HTML/CSS: Good (Only becasue there's not all that much to know about it).
Photoshop: Average to crap. Depending on my mood.
Illustrator/Freehand: Crap
PHP: Worse than crap.
JAVA: Worse than PHP.
3D apps: Pee in the ocean.
