Hmm, I didn't realize there were any private forums here, but just now on the search page there was a link to search the private forums, so I guess there are some. Anyone want to enlighten me on what these are, or are they too secret for a lunatic like me.

it looks to me like the 'private forums' area is merely a feature of UBB that doc hasn't implemented.
because there are no actual private forums to search through - i checked.

Doc: Hmmm...Open to all? I just tryed to search them and it said that Admins are the only people allowed to access the private forums. Maybe I'll do a little snooping tonight with my trusty programs. Don't worry though, I won't do anything that's not legal

This is run off of PERL right? That makes it even easier, I have a PERL code viewer that I can run after I FTP download the whole site and figure out how to get their. Is that OK with you Doc? Cuz I wouldn't do it without you'r permission?

Haha, dude, there are no hidden forums. There are some old, unlinked-to ones lying around here and there. But if there *were* restricted forums, you would certainly need to enter your name and password to get into them.

There are no posts there because their's no links to them from the main Asylum page.

You have to frig with the URL to find em. Which means nobody really goes there, and thus makes it rather difficult to have a conversation with well.... yourself. Unless your into that kinda thing, then my all means, go knock yourself out!

See, not as big a deal as you thought eh. Just old stuff that the Doc didn't delete, but removed from the front page due to lack of interest. And you were abuout to start trolling through perl code to try and fins these hidden forums!

Because it seems like no one posted their when they were active.

guess what fellas - the asylum has changed, over time. The doc is quite an adept bulldozerer... and walls have been put up, ripped down, and turned around in the evolution of the asylum.

There was a special forum for the election once, amongst many other things... and it's gone now.

They aren't secret rooms, they're abandoned ones.

Now I remember finding those before. CFB no offense but you are really slow. You try to over complicate everything. Such as downloading the whole site and messing with the perl scripts instead of changing a simple number in the url. Anyways, the "secret" forums aren't very interesting, just old forums that were abandoned (at least the ones I found) I'll just stick to the main part of the asylum for now, no point to messing around with abandoned stuff.
