By the way, it has a meaning in english: it's a musical instrument. It also has a meaning in french: rape (yikes!) But it has no meaning in my own language (portuguese - pronounced vi-OL, being the "i" said as in beep, not as in by) neither, AFAIK, in the place it came from (Italy).
