Now is the extra time, Golden Goal, the first in scores, wins the game.
The Spanish Goal was a mistake from the refery, it was not off-side, but that happens, referys make mistakes.
Now I hope Medieta gets into the game and make something on the spanish left side. Luis Enrique is a good option as the 'second man' on the spanish attack.
Anyone can win now.
Edits:
-------------------------------------------------
And i desagree on that: I don't think Korea played better that Spain. Spain has been all the 90 minutes over the field, and Korea has been lost in some very long moments!!

Something is very wrong with the Korean games.
I have absolutely nothing against Korea but that second goal of Spain was also valid.
Something is wrong in the World Cup.
One mistake is human, two mistakes in a row is an absurd.

Hehe...you guys crack me up...yeah, ok, the refs aren't perfect...but you didn't see the Americans complaining about the goal that was declared not a goal.
Wanna win? Then shoot a clear goal. And that's it, folks.
On with the match...and you will see in the statistics that Korea has played better...
But it is still goal-less...anymans game from here...
Who wants it bad enough?

There is no concept of clear goal.
There is valid goal and not valid goal.
The two of Spain were CLEARLY valid.
It's a pity to see the WC with so many mistakes like these and the ones on Italy, among others.

Sorry, but that goial was CLEAR!
if the ball goes out of the line, is foult, but if the ball does not goes out, you can play, and THAT ball was not out!
Sorry, but that was a clear goal.
Edit:
USA goal, it was a clear penalty, not a clear goal: the ball never went across the line.

No, because the ref called it out...you are just not getting it, are you. A clear goal is one that stands as a goal.
So, the next overtime begins...both sides clearly tired...and Spain is making the same mistake as Korea...those long passes.
I expect more from Spain. And the fouls are slowly heating up...
Both teams are getting nowhere, fast...
Unless something unusual happens, this thing will go to 11 meter shooting...

I know what is a clear goal.
What I mean is that the goals WERE valid but ONLY the referre saw something wrong and so, he didn't validated them. But, since HE is the man that must validate the goals, what matters is not if the goal was legal or not, but if the referee thinks it was legal or not. For me and for all the brazilian guys here in Brazilian TV, they were valid goals.

Well, it looks like an 11 meter shootout to me...though Spain is playing somewhat better now, they just are too tired (as are the Koreans).
If Spain had played like that from the beginning...but they didn't.
Great game, I'm glad I'm not really all that emotionally attached...I think my nerves would be shot by now...

I'm not going to say that Korea plays better or Spain did, I just know that Spain make 2 goals, and could make 2 more if it wasn't for the fucking refery.

Korea is in the semi-finals! Unbelievable!
I have the feeling that it will be Brazil vs Korea in the Final...these Koreans...unbelievable.
Sorry the the game was, once again, struck with controversy...but them's the breaks...
Spain can still be proud of what they have accomplished in this WC.
They played well, and can go home without dishonor.
So, Germany remains as the only European team...
European soccer is dead...long live European soccer!
Now that Germanys hopes have risen...they have to face a totally frenzied Korean team...Ouch!
Sorry about the end result wakky...but I had to go through it too.
Not a very nice quote, wakky...but I can understand your frustration...I went through it, as well.
Now it is time for Senegal to teach Turkey a thing or two...
Wouldn't a Final of Senegal vs Korea be unbelievable?

It's not frustration, I said the same in the Italy Korea Match.
It's true, that's something really shameless. Fifa would take some measures about that, like selecting only the good referis, even if all the referies are from the same country, if they are good, it's a guarantee and none will invalid a goal that's valid and you can win your game as good as you play.
Again, quoting La Gazzeta from Italy:

I know I said I was going to be away for the weekend, but I just had to get to a computer and say something...
OK, the goal that was called back because the ball was out--you're right, the ball wasn't out. But the flag was already up, which makes everything after that point moot.
It was a hard fought match on both sides, but I don't think the ref gave the match to Korea (or, as Grumble would put it, bad decisions by the ref caused Korea to win). As WebShaman said, if you want to win, score clear goals. The ref is not perfect, and he makes mistakes both ways. That's the way the game goes. I'm sorry that this has to be another game mired in controversy. Personally, I don't think there would be this much controversy if it weren't Korea and if they weren't the hosts. But they are, and the Europeans are sore about it. I bear no ill will against any inmate here (including you, aroma; sorry for the hasty comment, it was a bad moment for me), and I hope that no one bears any ill will against Korea.
I'm happy that Korea is through, and I think they have a chance against Germany. I think a Korea-Brazil final would be nifty, but in my heart of hearts I'm not sure if even the strength of the Red Devils could help Korea overcome Brazil. But it's one game at a time, right? Germany is still a tough team, and they are going to tower over the Koreans. It will definitely not be an easy match.
So, Wakky, no hard feelings? I know you're probably pissed right now, but hopefully that will pass. Spain got a few bad breaks, but Korea also had some bad breaks in the first half and Spain failed to capitalize. That's just the way the game goes, and when you get to this level all the games are going to be balanced on a pin.
I still love you guys, even if you are all pissed off at my team.

Hey! no hard feelings at all!!
I like Korean Team, I accept that Korea won in Penalty, that's fair! both team played similar.
What pisses me off is the fact of so many mistakes from the referies!
One mistake, humm, ok, two, ok, can be, but five mistakes? not fair.
I'm not meaning that Korea has something to do, I don't think so coming from a proud nation as the Korean.
I just said that refery is an asshole, three of them, the principal and the liniers.

Ok, let's get ready for Senegal vs Turkey!!!
I've really been waiting for this game...I think Senegal is perhaps the only team that might be able to give Brazil problems...
Go Senegal!!
(small note: I do find it strange that so many calls by the refs have been bad...wonder what's up with that? If it was just an isolated case, then I wouldn't worry about it, but...as the WC approaches the end game, it's becoming more obvious...I truly do hope it is just mere coincicence..)
Yup. The game has started...Go Senegal!!!
Well, my initial impression seems to be right...Senegal seems to have the game pretty much in hand (well, foot, if you will). They just need to settle down a little...maybe a bit too much nervous energy...
This game is starting to get interesting...
Well, first half is over...Hmmm...don't think that Senegal is the team to beat Brazil after all. Still 0-0. Though Senegal had chances, they couldn't get the ball in the gaol. Turkey couldn't either.
Seems that only Brazil can really score goals this one around...
At the present rate, they will be WC (Brazil). Only those that can score goals, win.
Well, we'll see in the second half...who wants it bad enough...
Overtime...Hmmm...up to this point, all I can say is, that Senegal plays a very sportsmans game...both teams could win (golden goal) now...
Turkey golden goal! Wow, what a goal! Turkey wins! Too bad they are going to get squashed by Brazil...
So, the semi-finals are complete :
Germany vs Korea
Brazil vs Turkey
My tip - Brazil and Korea in the final.

DAMN why did Freidel come off his line .. I know for a fact it would have been US into the semi-finals .. you have hands freidel USE THEM! .. the ball was on your 5 yard line .. you could have easially made a challenge for the ball and punched or grabbed the ball in mid-air
but still it was a great showing from the US .. and I'm MORE THEN happy the US waxed Mexico in the Second round

Well, i am not a football fan , yet I do follow these forums, and I have read many comments about Turkey would lose the match and yet they win it Suprising team eh?
Turkey lost a lot of opportunities foolishly against Senegal and I can say played better than Senagal.
It would be a tough match for Turkey agains Brazil but who knows.
Everybody was very gentle agains each other in this match , interesting. No fights, everyone helps other to stand up, or shoot the ball out even for minor injuries.
I wouldn't be very suprised if I watch Korea vs Turkey at the finals.

Darn it, Senegal lost, 0 - 1 to turkey....
Korea and Senegal were the two teams I've been behind for most of the cup. Although I feel stronger ties to the Korean team as I've ment quite a few S.Koreans online over the years that I've become good friends with. Most likely because I live in a similar time zone to them but eh...
I would have liked to see Senegal advance to the semi's but they did an amazing job just getting to the WC in the first place so hopefull that's enough for them. In any event, the next four matches should be very interesting.

Turkey will be a tough team to beat but I have strong hopes that we (Brazil) will make it. If we make it, then, if we meet Korea in the final, Brazil will have to play really really good because it'll be eleven against thirteen or fourteen.
Korea has two, sometimes three players more than the other teams: the crowd and the referees...
(Well, Brazil has had its share of referee's help in some important games too)

Well, there's been a lot of controversy over the refereeing, and I have to say that I agree--the refereeing this time around has definitely not been the best. I would not say, however, that the refs are always on the side of the Korean team. My personal opinion is that the refs are not playing favorites, they just suck. I remember in the US-Mexico game one of the American defenders cleared the ball from the area with his fist(!), and no one batted an eye. I thought, 'Well, that's one we got away with.' There were plenty of other calls that went against us, though.
All that being said, I can understand how Spanish fans would be upset. What I do not understand, though, is some of the really horrible things that the Italian coaching staff said about Korea--mostly implication, that Korea is a poor, uncivilized nation, but some pretty bad stuff none the less. That is just not right. Shouldn't events like the WC bring the world together, rather than tear it apart? Perhaps that's a naive view, but still...
I was a bit surprised at Senegal's loss. I was really pulling for them, because then we would have had one team each from Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America, which would have been nice. I would like to say that they stand no chance against Brazil, but who knows what will happen. I do think Brazil will win, though, and I think Korea can get past Germany (especially if they continue to play the way they have been).
Oh, and any team that plays against Korea is not playing eleven against thirteen or fourteen. It's more like eleven against forty million. However, Korea will not have the same advantage if it makes it to the finals, since the final match is being played in Japan. The Japanese have been very supportive of the Koreans (I wonder if the Koreans would have been so supportive if the tables had been turned...), but it won't be the same. If Korea fails to make the finals, though, I would say they're a good bet for third place, as that match is being played here. I do hope they beat Germany, but they've already accomplished so much I don't think people will be too disappointed with third or even fourth place.
Well, the remaining matches should all be good ones, and I'm looking forward to them!
