As I mentioned to Wakkos, Hiddink is very confident concerning the upcoming match--he's coached in Spain, and he knows the Spanish team very well. On the other hand, the fact that no one really knows the Korean team has worked to their advantage. Personally, I think Korea stands a better chance against Spain than they did against Italy. It's still going to be a good game, though. |

Well, there's a goal, but's it wasn't scored by the team I was hoping would score it. Still, though, we've outplayed the Germans so far, and if we can just keep our heads on our shoulders we can get back into it. |

OK, we got out of the first half without giving up any more goals. We're only down by one, and if we come out in the second half like we did in the first I think we'll be able to score. Go team! |

Ok, second half...the half-time was unbearable in the break room...a taste of what could come *shudders at the thought...taking a real beating here...thinking of 'going postal' here...* |

Well, even if the Germans win...that's a lot of yellow cards...and it just gets worse. On the other hand...our side has a lot, too. |

Well, that's it. WS, I feel for you man. Good luck convincing the Germans that we played a better game and still lost. Now I can only hope that Korea advances and beats the Germans senseless. |

Grumble: I understand the rules, but I'm still not sure if the player wasn't trying to actively influence the ball. It was his arm, after all, that prevented the ball from going in. As I said before, though, it is now a moot point. Whether it was a good call or a bad call, it's not going to change the result. Lucky Germany is right, though. |

Well, it's over...too bad with the hand-play (should have been 11 meter), but them's the breaks....however, the Germans did not impress me...on the contrary...the US played an overwhelmingly dominate game...but without a goal, you can't win. |

suho, i am not referring to the korea game specially (but also this one). i mean in general italy often had bad luck with referees in the last WMs and EMs except for the USA94 finale. |

GREAT GAME by both sides .. even though we all know who fought the harder match .. I think the only mistake was made by the US Goal Keeper .. that ball was far to close to his goal line and he should have come OUT to jump for it .. instead he was PINNED on his goal line .. and couldn't do much .. that was the only mistake that cost US the game |
