Ok, not hate so much as poke fun of..
You know, every country a country whose people are the 'default' of jokes..

I know the US made fun of Polish people for a while, but now they mostly make fun of black people, hispanics, and rednecks

I know French and British people make fun of Americans

Puerto Rican people make fun of dominicans...

Venezualans make fun of the 'Cholos' (Native Colombian, I think)....

I'm not condoning racism or nationalism or saying that any country's better than any other, I just noticed that different countries have different 'whipping boys' and I was wondering how it works around the world.

For Example, I've never said a joke about Dominicans, but I've heard millions of them. They are mostly interchangable with You might be a redneck if... jokes in America and with "This stupid Cholo is walking down the street..." jokes in Venezuela...

So, come on, share... Who does your country make fun of?

Im pretty sure france is the butt of most jokes. Like, the default country to use in jokes. Like groundskeeper Willy said "Cheese eating surrender monkeys". Owell. I dont hate French people, thats just how it is when it comes to jokes.

I suppose it depends on where in the UK you are from. From where I'm sitting it tends to be southerners (that counts as a different country right? The passorpt control at Watford gap proves that)

I guess it depends on the joke... Usually the people (or nationalities thereof) are based on certain stereotypes, like most of the "3 guys walk into a bar" jokes...
But if you're just refering to the "Redneck" jokes, and other one liners that can be made to be about anyone, I'd have to say the majority around here are about, people from Poland, Italy, France, the North (damn Yankees), Alabama and Arkansas (rednecks), California (fruits and nuts), and hillbillies. Also, if you're black, oriental, or female, there are lots that are popular...

What can I say, we make fun of everyone here...

In Brazil, when a joke is about dumbness, usually we use the Portuguese people (from Portugal) to populate the joke, so to speak (I think like Americans use Polish people). So, we do a lot of fun from Portugal and its people.
But it's also common to use Argentine as a "hate" country, since Brazilians and Argentineans sort of hate each other (like England/France, I think). I was told they, the Argentineans, like to pick on us, Brazilians, just the same way.
So, Portugal is for "dumb people" jokes, and Argentine is for "hate" jokes.

Well, my country (the Sovreign Nation of Goodness, or Snog) doesn't hate anyone, per se. Instead, we hate everyone equally.

But Americans, mostly.

Canadians I know generally make fun of Americans. Personally, I like to poke at the Dutch every now and then

I don't like to be biased -- I hate everyone.

More seriously though, it's often those pommy bastards (epically when it comes to cricket!) or the stinky Irish, for no other reason then their stupid passion for all things green. Australians don't tend to make fun of Americans; they just don't like them very much. Oh and there?s a tone of Japanese jokes floating around here too. However, the people who seem to cop the most flack are the red-necked Australian politicians themselves or the native aboriginals.

It?s kinda sad really but eh, people suck -- that's why I hate all of em.

I like to poke fun at the Canadians, and all those "...old Europeans "...My family really likes make fun of the Irish and Scottish (I'm part both of them).

French are funny too...

Koreans make hating the Japanese a national pastime. I remember reading something in the paper a while back, kind of like a "top ten signs that you've been in Korea a long time." Number one was "You hate the Japanese for no good reason."

Koreans generally don't make jokes about the Japanese, probably because the animosity is a pretty serious thing.

They do go crazy whenever Korea plays Japan in football. If the Korean side goes to play in Japan and loses, they have to set up extra security at the airport just so they won't get killed when they come back.

The Dutch tend to poke fun of the Belgians. In the 'hate jokes' department, mostly the Turks and the Moroccans are the victims.

I've always found the English poke fun at the Welsh a fair bit... comments about sheep mainly(much like NZ/Aus).
Being Welsh, I find this particularly amusing, especially when you consider that my first words were 'Baaah baaah".

But then again, aren't the Welsh are just the Irish who couldn't swim!

here in hawaii, we make fun of everyone... especially the people who've come in here in large numbers: chinese, japanese, puerto rican, portuguese, filipino, samoan, mexican, canadian, figian, korean, 'haole' (includes american mainlanders and europeans), and even native hawaiians
can't think of any group that is hated though...

he he, surprised I havent heard that before. um I guess its the Brits that would be the most commonly hated here, but Im not too into that kinda thing myself. My old schools colours were black,white + gold, the black to be replaced with green when 32 the counties are restored. . . you can imagine to atmosphere toward English in that school

Other than that I can report many French I've met have had bad/funky smells !!

btw. The only thing green in Dublin is the Liffey(River)(it smells too and is sometimes brown/gray). I wonder what the deal is with leprechauns etc.. it would be interesting to know where that came from, the Simpsons crack some quality jokes about Irish. I find it hilarious as do my friends.

There's also a lot of inter-state jokes in Australia, possible because we only have 5 states, which makes it a lot easier.

America tends to make fun of other countries not those within it's borders, countries commonly in the jokes are England, Arabic countries, and lets not forget Canadians and their so called "army" (with their forks and knives)
