I'm trying to make a website using DReamweaver 4 which I just purchased. Does anyone know any tutorials that could help teach me the basics? Also, some tutorials for after I learn the basics. Thanks! |

Tutorials for Dreamweaver? I thought the idea of those WYSIWYG editors were to eliminate learning. Oh well. I don't know of any tutorials but heres a link the the Macromedia Dreamweaver : Visual QuickStart Guide . I've never read the book but most of the books in the series are pretty decent. Check over at macromedia.com/software/dreamweaver for some added information. |

I use dreamweaver all the time to build complicated tables and general layout, it makes great code, what are you snortin'? You must have it confused with frontpage or fireworks. |

uh oh... somethin tells me that people dont like Dreamweaver users. I gotta admit, it makes life easier for us folks with no time to get into code writing.... Dont get me wrong though, I really wanted to learn the code aspect of it its just a lil complicated. (to me.) |

Actually Dreamweaver with BBEdit 6 is about the most efficinet HTML editing available today. Despite what people say, Dreamweaver does not muck up code much at all (although it's javascripts suck). With configuration you can choose what and how it indents, and what code it rewrites (I choose to re-write nothing of course). I am a perfectionist when it comes to code, and I can honestly say that DW/BBEdit combo is almost perfect. All DW needs is an option to maintain indentation levels. If it did that then I could use DW for the 20% of work that it does more efficiently than BBEdit, with confidence that my beautiful indented HTML structures would remain unscathed even if their content was changed in DW. |

I use DW 4.0 and I love it. Easy to use, simple. Although you still need to do some tweaking on your own but the big work is already done! |
