any loonie people... heh...

I am tryin to make this look like i am holding energy in my hands... Workin in PS... it is not workin out as well as i wanted. um... It is for a company, and i guess it is really not a logo but a main screen...

so here iz...

it is only like 18k so i though, what the heck...

show the glow of the energy (maybe by placing an airbrush spot set to glow over both of the hands). Maybe make the lines of light more like lightning, and have sparks coming off the hands. When I first saw the picture, I didn't see that gaap text at all, which can't be good. My eye is drawn straight toward thehands, so try making the text bigger and brighter, with contrasting colors so it stands out. Good example of some colors would be purple and yellow. You could have the text bulge out in the center to give it more eye grabbing appeal. I would also remove the background blur effect. THe hands are top notch. You really can't make them darker, the detail is spot on... I'm not in anyway saying this work is bad (pretty cool accually), these are my suggestions. Plz tell me if my opinions have any weight on what your doing.

More sparks, things in not-so-linear fashion.
The base energy 'beams' are really good.
Now they need a 'field' around them. All energy works in fields. I was wiring some 440V (that's double the line that comes into your house, for all you Americans) electric last weekend and just getting close enough to the wire made my arm hairs stand on end. That is an electric field!
One shouldn't see the whole field, but at least sense it is there...
Get it??
How to do it? I don't know. You are a far superior artist than I. I have faith you'll figure it out. This is just a nudge in the right direction.

Like electrical energy ? Then rends lightning might be the way to go. then you can transform, spherize to suit.

And the text can be wrapped w/ lightning, too so you can read it eaiser.

You're off to a good start there!

One thing that you might want to consider though is how the lighsource (energy) affects the hands.

If you've got a high energy bolt in your hands, I would expect the palms of your hands to be almost whited out from the intense glow, whereas the back of your hand would be much darker.

I made a quickie adjustment to show you what I mean.

I would think that the "energy" would have some sort of a blue tint like in cartoons Even if it doesn't, I think it would look better....

Okay most of you say i should get rid of the background. I never planed to have one but i just happened to be in the picture of my hands so i left it there. It is pretty hard to make lightning on a black background. But i will try... I am thinking that i could try and make my background really dark but still leave it in? hmm....

Yeah you could do that. I'd hate to see the tie-die disappear all together

One thing I really love about pics like this is light coming off of the edges of the hand and fingers. Not really realistic, just stylized.

Don't mind the globe too much (recognize it from Make It?). Basically the rays of light at the edges.

Right now there problem is that the text is unreadable.

If you can make the text show up above and beyond the background it should be fine.

But you will have to do something with the text.

yeah... i forgot to mention that. The text is not really important. Yeah i want it there, and Yeah it would be cool if it could be read. grr... i am still at skool. Just started. I dont have access to computers that have PS. stinko. and the monitors here really stink. um... okay, cool. i have some ideas.

I am getting tired of this.. My energy has no depth. Workin on it still... i dunno...

To bright foo, lighting need ot be visible. Loosk to glowy on my monitors.

Lookin better izzy. The reflections on the hands are nice, where thee light plays across the fingers. And the light blue glow helps, maybe tone down the white some.

On the depth thing, maybe if you make the glow a little more consistent with the bright parts coming through the fingers, instead of a *solid* glow it would pop a little more( did that make any sense at all ?) And on the bolts themselves, make the ones in front more opaque, and he ones in back a tad less. may not be that way in reality, (assuming you could have a handful of energy)but sometimes you have to trick the mind into seeing what you want it to.



some days, it`s just not worth the trouble to chew through the restraints in the morning.
