That is great DB. Reminds me of the movie Creepshow, when Stephen King had all that moss growing all over him from the astroid.

so.. this is my hello, i guess.
I thought I'd give it a go on this one.

I used one of my favourite techniques, converting the image to greyscale and then colorizing it.
I think it came out quite good

new layer, set blending mode to [color], do your job. (color it) The layer beneath will take the color from this layer.

Welcome nso, get your pills and jacket. I hope you never did that art work in the wait room (if one) I hope you get a cell.

Ducati: If you want to colour somethink like what nso did, do as mahjqa said, that will work fine .

thanx for the promising words
it's always nice to be appreciated

to explain in plain english how this work..

1. select a cherry
2. copy and paste the cherry onto a new layer
3. select the content of the new layer
4. colorize the layer (i like to use the cloouds-filter with two similar colors)
5. blend the layer with the background (what i have used on this image is 30-40% overlay)

that's it really.. it's pretty simple, but using this you can achive great effects.. (i do this for fun.. hehe)

yours was really nice dark.. only.. the whole image seems to me to be kinda out of sync with the "cherries".
the placement of the cherries seems random, it doesn't fit with the rest of the image. it would be a kickass image if you skipped the cherries.
erm.. just my opinion

Steve, did I ever tell you that when I see your name in a thread I just naturally smile? Well now I have, and thank you is never enough.

Minkies: Little bit deeper, but yep, that's the general idea. Expand it to see that I'm talking about drawing from me. Creating with hands, graphite, pixels....ultimately "breaking the cherries" of canvas...

It's a lust for what I do...and on the flipside of that, a lust for the woman there...or women...person..people.

And now I'm explaining it too much, horrid practice. Nonetheless, everyone is doing some really great work here. I love the ideas that are coming out...and I must admit I saw the faces in the reflections at first glance too...you're still fucking brilliant Steve.

Peter

I'm in no mood to be serious. Let Gorvak the Magnevolent, intergalactic messenger of peace and destruction, fill your hearts with dread and joy! Certainly, he's 154k, and he quite intentionally looks like a horrible 70s album cover, but just look at him! He derives his power from cosmic cherries! What more could you want from an alien archon?
