![]() If you've got an irregular selection already made, and you want to center it in the screen, follow the steps of bringing up the rulers (ctrl/command-R), then drag a guide to the center vertically and then another hotrizontally. Now, using the selection tool, click inside your current selection and drag it towards the guides. It will snap to them at it's far right, far left, far top, far bottom and exact center. |

![]() Another method is to select the entire image.. ctrl-A and then make sure the layer containing the part you want centered is active. Then go to >Layer>Align Selection> Center Vertical/ Center Horizontal. |
