I was having some fun with some distortion. schoolthing.jpg

1) Polar Coords using top one
2) Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical
3) Polar Coords using bottom one

At least I think that's how it goes.

Damn it. I go to bed and my mind's eye was doing double-time on the distortion. Of couse I figure it out and just had to post.

I was originally looking for a way to get rid of the tell-tale seam that you get when you run Polar Coords on a photo. Well, I ran Polar Coords the other way and got to looking at. When I realized that it's tilable horizontally, I flipped it vertically and Polar Coords again. Instant funky distortion.

While I was laying in bed, I was trying to figure out the funky distortion. Turns out to be a domain shift with PC to turn a photo inside out! Duh! Once again, the "safe zone" in a circle inscribed in the canvas/layer.

Maybe now I can go about the business of sleeping.

1) Polar to rectangular.
2) Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical
3) Rectangular to Polar.

Ran it like you said, and get the seam every time. Ran some variations, got some neat stuff, but they all have seams in them. What`d I miss ?
