Preserved Topic: Speed Painting - Profiles (Page 1 of 2)

Umm...I just posted this since Silence didn't pick up the last one.

The topic is profiles (side view of a head).

(If you wan't to, Silence, you can take over/change topic if you feel like it)

Rules

1. You have approximately 30 minutes (try to limit differences by 1000 mins, give or take) to do a sketch/painting/model, digital or traditional of the supplied topic.
2. Time dedicated to scanning, uploading, saving, etc, is NOT counted towards the time it takes you to do your entry. Just the time you spent creating it.
3. You can submit as many entries as you want.
4. Much like the monthly sig competitions, the previous chooser decides the next topic and the next chooser of said topic.
5. Speed painting topics will last for approximately a week.

Sorry about that guys, I haven't been to this forum in a bit (been too caught up Starship Trading ).

Profiles sounds good but I'd add the distinction that you they be ugly and or a bit off kilter. Basically, no pretty people. Let's see the other half of humanity.

Those first three are really cool DL, and so is the last. It reminds me of Aliens (kinda) except that it doesn't have the signature phallus-head.

Oh wait. nevermind, it reminds me HR Gigers work. Thats it!

sideway faces are easy.....maybe for me....anyway I can tell DL is a big davici fan

I prefare michelangelo

well...yeah, profiles are easy. It's a very simplified view of the face...it's why much primitve art portrays everyone facing sideways.

There's really no comparison between Leonardo and Michelangelo...they were never on the same playing field.

Michelangelo or DaVinci: Well, if I had to have something hanging up in my house from either of the two, I'd pick Michelangelo, but they are both remembered for doing diffrent things.

umm I dont have a scanner but I fotographed with DC a couple of my life drawings I will see if I can post....

anyway they both are great artists and yes I do see them in realy different fealds

I dont see Davici as an artist, but more as an engineer....michelangelo is a pure artist....its all my point of view

izzy, that 2nd one is really beautiful. made me smile.

only issue i had with it was that the adam's apple was a bit big in its hugeness, but honestly, that is some really special work.

Eyezaer: Keep them coming, I like them a lot. Really arty and in a league of there own all!! Your (eye) and DL's, reminds me a little of a spiting image models..... Which is nice!.

A part for them two, there all very nice!!

When a new topic is started it would be great to keep this one going, I plan to do more at some stage .. dunno when ?
