I like both of these but i would like your opinions....and in what ways I could improve them

well, i'll just go ahead and pull out the big angry sword.

::: the flames are cheap looking. maybe it's me.
::: the border looks like that green crap that forms on copper...or a peice of coral gone terribly awry... what is it?
::: the e that stretches on the bottom looks silly. if you want to underline something, underline it. lets not be cute.

::: set your matte color to #240000 (i think) to achieve unity with this forum; the white jagged edges make my head hurt.
::: its' awful big. scale back, fireball.
::: the green text looks as though it was put there on an afterthought. not sure how i feel about it. same thing is true for the yellow text. and the black text, come to think of it.
::: i hate dropshadows. anyone that uses dropshadows on text should be shot--personal preference, not gospel.
::: i like the metal feel of it, but i initially thought it was rock, then oozy stuff. might want to clean up your intent a little more.

nothing to add, twItch^, other than ElGrande has used a LOT of 3rd party plugins. I don't even dare to name them here. ElGrande, why don't you fix up something of your own? Sorry, I don't wnat to bitch about 3rdpartyplugins, but they're so darn *cheap* (an'I don't mean the cost by that.)

Ya, what they said, and if you stick with the metal look, add a metalic texture.

well... imho... it is still a bit large..... and my overall opinion is one of disconnection... lots of different elements that dont seem to flow together very well... in some cases this can actually enhance a design but often it will just detract from the look....

I would try and ease of on your brush strokes, and also soften the bevels that you are using..... perhaps the txt part on its own might make for a good looking sig as a trans gif?.. just throwing out ideas....

the text itself is not bad, and like vp said, may be good all on it's own?

Whatever the gold-ish stuff is supposed to be just is not working for you...I'd lose it altogether

I say lose the whole metal thing entirely, I don't think it helps the sig at all. That green looks about as out of place as my sig.

i guess i'm still missing the part where i'm supposed to be influenced into believing that is a metal texture. i suggest looking at a peice of metal before you try again.

before i feel even more vilified...what were you trying for? it seems clear that you are attempting a brushed-metal texture.

I never said i wasnt goin for a metalic look but i also never said i was......i was just bein an ass, i get that way sumtimes. Specially this time of year, exams are next week.

but i did want a metalic look, but not just a squared off piece, i wanted sumtin that looked ripped out or melted maybe. i had the edges harder but the bevel was all wrong, and when i softened the edges to give it more of a melted look the texture in the center didnt look right for the theme, but i decide to stick with it anyway.. i had other more important things to get too. maybe sumday i'll fix it up.

I live in New Brunswick, Canada. Our exams have always been this time of year. i remember that cause my i always get to do an exam for my b-day.....lucky me!
