![]() iStockphoto.com isnt bad, its also a pretty good website. This is a little off topic but about the same subject. Alright, if I took my lil camera into the city and took pictures of buildings am I leagally able to use them? or would you have to consult the owners of the building first? Also, what if I remotely took the same picture as someone else, maybe from a different angle or something, is the picture legally mine? |
Nervous Wreck (II) Inmate From: H-Town.TX.USA |
![]() Seems to me, Jestah, that the only thing you might have to watch is any sort of company logo that might be on the building, and even then, I truly doubt the business would care. Free publicity! Unless, of course, there's some type of defamation involved. |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: 3rd shelf, behind the cereal |
![]() I would say that you should be able to use any photo that you take in any manner that you want to. Whomever owns the negatives owns the photo. |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: the west wing |
![]() dude...ask the National Enquirer. they take photos of folks all the time without getting permission. |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Long Island, NY |
![]() True, but the National Enquirer is a valued peice of journalism, i would just be using them for websites. Anyway Im assuming anything taken with a camera is yours ... I suppose ... |

Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF |
![]() The only kind of stock photos that I ever look for (and usually never find) are profile and mug shots for use in 3D modelling. Alas, they are nearly impossible to find. |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: New Jersey, USA |
![]() Excelent site twItch^. |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: The Demented Side of the Fence |

Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: TriCites TN/VA |
![]() Well, the "Freeest" of all stock photography (if you live in the U.S.) is pictures taken by the government. They are truly public domain, for whatever purpose you may desire. |
Nervous Wreck (II) Inmate From: Bronx, NY, USA |

Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: TriCites TN/VA |
![]() Hmm.. Well, Mr Blastafusix, it may not be officially free, but the collection of textures alone make it a worthy link. Thanks! |
