But once you learn a little you can't get enought of it. Get the basics done first, do some tuts, Adobe's help files are very good IMHO Learn about layers, what they do and how to work with them. Try and try again, experiement. Don't use filters when you start, do it all by using only the built in ones, or be really craft and use only an airbrush and a paint brush. But do the tutorials, make as many websites as possible, just on random things and thoughts, that is how you will grow. -mage-

3 months for me...(that's how long I been working with photoshop)

At first, I was like.. what the hell is this? But once you learn a little you can't get enought of it.
Get the basics done first, do some tuts, Adobe's help files are very good IMHO
Learn about layers, what they do and how to work with them.
