Hi all, I'm almost done with my very first character animation. It's 1 min 40 sec long and was created entirely by me in 5 months. The only thing I have left is the facial animation and some tweaking. I would really apreciate any comments that you all might have on how to improve it. I'm hoping to get a job in the CG industry with this (hint hint ).

I have it in several file formats:
www.brainbutter3d.com/xfer/origami.avi
200x148 normal avi, 2 megs
www.brainbutter3d.com/xfer/origami.exe
320x240 self playing BINK video file, 6 megs
www.brainbutter3d.com/xfer/origamidivx.avi
320x240 divx avi, 3.7 megs

Thanks!

That was great! Facial animations will add a ton to it.

Very nice!

Totally cool...especially liked the piece of paper that was
kicked and went flying.

Touches like that and the really smooth motions plus the subtle natural
body gestures make it all work seamlessly.

Great work...and good luck in job hunt.

Very nice. With that on your demo reel, you shouldn't have any problems getting a job in the field

I like the punch line, too

Yeah...but there's a problem with that origami book. When he has it open, and his hand is moving it, it doesn't move quite the same as his hand. It'll just take some tweaking of the animation paths to fix that.

Beyond that...Cool! Don't know what else to say

Computer Senility. I had a friend once who had it. His name was Gilbert, but he prefered it if people called him 'Ramases Niblick the third...Kerplunk, Kerplunk, Whoops! Wheres my thribble?'... - Kryton, Red Dwarf.
