I hate to barge in like this, especially when I'm not contributing anything, but there is no need to post here just to say that you're going to be participating. If you are going to participate, then do so and submit a sig. We don't need to hear about your intention to join. We also don't need to hear about how cool you think the idea is. If it is such a cool idea, make a sig!

This was a real bike once and her name was Jill.

I'm dialup and it killed me... But it was worth wathing, very nice MS, althought I think I've seen that somewhere before... Not saying you ripped anything... But maybe the idea has been done before . It's still very nice though, and it is like stargate.

You know.... I was co-sponcered by a very, very, cheap local skate company... I could actually propose the idea of making a custom "ASYLUM" skateboard. One with the text that the Doc made, only personally, I would like to see it in a dark blue backround like it is here, white just doesn't do it for me .

the train looks much better now, but i think the track has still some problems. it doesn't got the "i'm moving forward" look yet

i think its because the two lines on the track that go back and forth ....railroad ties are very close together ...perhaps you could insert railroad ties that go "back and forth" which would give a better appearance of motion...IMHO...FWIW

Zipper: You might want to look up at the top of the thread--the subject for this month's contest is transportation. Non-contest sigs are generally not allowed (however nice they may be ;-).

I don't know if I can really ask it here, but since there is not special thread I think it would be the better way.

I guess the lightcycle is pure painting, but I wanted a confirmation. And how did you do for this nice blue/white light ? I assume it's a gradient that was reworked after, but I don't really know. I ask that because I'm not good at Photshop and I wanted to improve my skills in this domain.

It'll most likely work with both PS6 and PS7, but not in PS5 or lower.

Some notes; I used 'maps' in these PSD's. Maps are are 'containers' for layers, you can drag layers in and out of them, and you can fold them in or out to save space in the layers palette. When you create them, they're set to 'pass through' so that there's no difference if a layer is in a map or not. However, if you set the blending mode of a map to IE screen, the entire contents of a map will be treated as if the map is a separate PSD, and the resulting image is blended with the screen mode you selected. (just try it out, it's clearer that way. if you still don't get it, please ask.

Ok, thanks for providing the PSD, that was very kind of you. I played with it, and I think I understood how you did that. In fact, it does not seem so hard to do. Just the painting scares me, I guess I will have to make prgress in this domain, otherwise I would more or less be able to do something like that. My thanks again
