OMG! This file is HUGE! I felt so guilty about the last sig I worked and worked on this one...

I have never worked so hard on someone else's sig in my life... Now I know why I stay away from animation.
Any suggestions on how to reduce size but retain quality? I know, I know, I know... Read this faq and that faq and don't forget that faq... *sigh*

Change your view to 2-up (or 4-up), and hit window -> show optimized. You'll get all the options for optimizing for web use there.

I didn't get that one from any kind of tutorial. I just messed around for a couple of hours until I made it work. Just made one big circle that looked like a ripple after I had messed with it for a while, then copied and made it a bit smaller, copied and made that a bit smaller, etc., until I had a series of outgrowing circles. Then when I animated them, I just showed them one circle at a time, basically doing frame by frame work on that part instead of tweening.

As for the name, I used a filter or two to distort it, distorting it to a different degree in each frame, then faded back to the original.

So to answer your question, hellfireclanx, I didn't really do anything that I could map out for you; I don't even know precisely what I did. If I did it again, the steps would be slightly different. If you're interested in doing something similar to that, my recommendation is to ask yourself "what's the easiest way to do this?" That's pretty much how I do everything in Photoshop.

By the way, for really good animation advice, you should check the FAQ for stuff that Mahjqa has done. He is truly the god of this stuff, and has provided examples of how he did what he did, some of which you can find in the FAQ.

I still can't figure out that dolphin one he did.

Well, to tell the truth I had a lot of these started and didn't finish them but had a LOT of extra time today as I was rebuilding a computer and installing a ton of software and just waiting around so I was working on them all today. It just so happened I finished a bunch... Stilla few in the works.

I think I need another hobby. Heheheh

Either that or some more shock treatment as the last one didn't take...

And on that note: HERE'S ANOTHER!

No, I don't speak Swahili. I just like to research the sig a little before I make one for someone. I check out their profiles and web sites if any listed in their profile and then make something a little personal for them. Like Suho's picture or Docile Bob's light bulb. Both gotten from their sites. Or like the Drama Bugs from her site. Etc.

Hey all,

I think only one today as this one took a LONG time. I just couldn't get the crest looking like I wanted and after tweeking and tweeking and tweeking and tweeking (Did I say tweeking?) for too damn long I made some compromises and it is sort of what I wanted... Anyway, here ya go.



Also, the font I was using in many of my other sigs is SHOWCARD GOTHIC. It is absolutly my favorite font and I use it a LOT! If you want a copy you can get it <a href="http://www.asianescapades.com/promo/showcard.zip">HERE</a>.

And for those that have asked to use any sig I have made, by all means! I certainly can't use them and just make them for you all and to keep busy while working on other things here.

Im doing all this IBC shtuff, so I any "painty time" is dedicated to that, but I promise that I'll try make a sig for Jung and Moonshadow before the month is over, (I Really dont think this topic should ever close, its a lot easier thinkin of sigs for other people, well.. for me anywho) after the 28th. I actually had a really good idea for moon shadow, but thats all I remember .. having a good idea .. its totally gone from my head whatever it was.
