Purchased a pair of rubber boots today...a bit more than your average person might need but.... I could not believe the labeling attached to these things |

They have to justify the price somehow... |

Nice boots, does this mean you've been given an incentive to clear the back yard or perhaps do "the" mural on the shed/garage wall we were looking at a while ago? |

The mural space was usurped this year by Scarlet runners, 3 varieties of tomatoes and other climbing edibles and oh yes there was the little matter of fixing the other side of the garage. Don't want to do this again any time soon but there is unfortunately another outbuilding that will get similar treatment next summer. |

You should assemble the labels into a coat that you could then wear to match your boots. |

I destroy boots. Never had any boots, even extremely expensive ones, last more than a year. Cheap boots get split on the bottom and toe-tear across the top at a mere 3 months. I can wear them just around the house and they get demolished. |

You're not alone with that problem warjournal. I destroyed my last 2 pairs of no-name footwear in less than 3 weeks. Just walked my usual route home->work->pub->shop->home->repeat, didn't even run, jump or whatever. Then I bought a pair of Nike hiking shoes two months ago and they haven't shown any signs of weakening yet. Holding my thumbs. Quality stuff and very comfortable on my somewhat wide feet but I'm not used to buying $160 shoes. (I have the gore-tex label ^^) I've solved the sock problem by just regularly buying more ... so I have lots of socks most of which are kind of worn out but since most of them are at least very similar so pairing them is easy. |
