So I'm reading this article titled: I want my dom and I found it interesting enough to post it here. It seems there is alot a talk about web standards, the open source, the dom and crossbrowser dhtml vs. flash here, and I have to agree with this guy. What do you think? |

The article is about problems from two years ago...it states that some changes should be made an a lot off them are already done. The mozilla browsers proofed that they stable and comfortable. Even Opera is gaining more fans. |

Actually, it doesn't seem that having dom/w3c compliant browsers available is much of a problem anymore, however, getting the mainstream to use those browsers is. Fact of the matter is, most people simply aren't as tech savy as we would like them to be. A great deal of them really are using older browsers (even 4.0). As long as we still have to keep developing for those people, this article still has relevance today. I disagree when you say flash is dying out. In fact I would say quite the contrary. There are several large and major corporations migrating to all flash websites. Don't get me wrong, I think they should have a html alternative as well. But to say that flash is dying out.... |
