Topic awaiting preservation: techno, house music (Page 1 of 1)

Ashamed I have not gotten into this sooner. Bought my 2nd CD Ben Neill who does the music for VW commercials. Great bg music for working on the computer.

Any other techno/house recommendations I should look into?

The only techno i hear is The Crystal Method, Massive attack, and some kevin Manthei stuff. The first two are actually more like Trip-Hop.

I go to a lot of underground things and pick up CDs left and right .. and I couldn't name all the DJ's I listen too

May I suggest, if I suggest only one thing, DJ Krush? He's much more cool, relaxed, and hip-hop, but damn is his CD "code4109" ever good.

All styles : DJ Radium ( Recommended album : Inhuman )

Hardcore : Manu Le Malin ( Biomechanik, Biomechanik 2, Il était une Fois l'Astropolis, Fighting Spirit )

Soft techno : Daft Punk

Hard Techno : DJ Tonio ( Techno Therapy )

House : DJ Q ( TwentyFour7even )

alright, cool- good stuff. Yeah I have Propellerheads. There is a bar/lounge/record store near me called halcyon. Pretty groovy. Apparently they get some good DJs.

i personally don't like music like this....but daft punk and the chemical brothers make good stuff
