I don't have anything special in my desktop. Actually, I like it clean. There is no icon, no clock, no reminder, no bars, nothing at all, just the wallpaper, that I change once in a while (once every three months, as an average, I'd say). |

Changes every few weeks depending on the mood swings, sometimes plain and simple like this one, to busy desktop images of nature. |

Here's mine. I keep it pretty basic. Most of the time I don't even have an image, just a black background, but I have been fiddling with poser lately... I keep the desktop links updated through a database, and they are continually changing depending on current projects. One click access is nice in that regard. |

I think I have you all beat for boring, try XP in classic mode, with just a 30% neutral Gray Backdrop. It must be the Color Control Geek, showing. But it is on dual 19" monitors so that's got to count for something. Well and the picture of Merlin. |

Tao: Never did that before. What I do is put up wallpaper that gives me inspiration, and gets me motivated to do my work. that background is one that has been doing it for me now. |

I think I'm going to change my desktop as well. Instead of some photos of New York city, I'm thinking on using a photo of Tuscany's countryside, from yannarthusbertrand.com. |

In the past I have already used Style XP (http://www.tgtsoft.com/), it's a cool program, but I never found a skin that had no flaw, then I gave up using it. |

Here's mine. I change it pretty often though, and I like to keep them pretty simple. I forget where I found the image, but it was from one of the sites in a fractals thread someone started a bit ago. Some of those images were incredible. |

Ramasax - If you wanna try out LS, I'd rather suggest you to get one of the independent builds, rather than the regular release. The later provides you lots of stuff you wont ever use, and its quite annoying to get it to work right. I can send you my own step.rc if you want. |

My NT, GNOME, KDE and Ximian desktops are all box-stock to keep the transfer size down. They're all in the other room and, being basically lazy, I usually access them across the LAN using TightVNC on my XP box. |

This is the setup I'm going to stick with for a while (I think). Did I mention that I have been using Style XP for this er experiment. I've also put another skin on foxy. |
