Soon, people will start doing like the cyberpirates have always been done with domain names. Sign for a lot of "cool" usernames, wait for someone to want one of them, and then try to take money from the poor fellow.
BTW, it there anyone interested in the coolest username you can have here?

Yep, I'm aware. I personally don't care, but my wife, that "inherited" my family name by marrying me, and sometimes make trips to Canada and France, was not really happy when she found that out (luckily, it happened after she had married me )

But I was not talking about this username, that's not on sale, no way, I was talking about another one, "the" greatest, "the" bestest, "the" mightyest of all.

and on the name-changing note: wouldnt it be cool if we ALL picked new usernames and then tried to figure out who's who judging from what they post ? : )

Deus = God in Portuguese.

It's used in Brazil to refer to God as God is used here, in the USA, to refer to, well, God, whatever God be.

And if you want to know what 'viol' means in French, look no further than here: http://21st-century-home.co.uk/dvd/dvd.pl/item-B00005OCV4/shop.htm

On the other hand, in English, it's a musical instrument, that the Italians call "Viola da Gamba".
You can find "Viol" as a family name mostly in Germany but also in Italy and I guess in Austria also. In Brazil it's very rare (I guess that it's also rare in those countries). There is also at least one guy, named "André Viol", exactly like me (well, I actually have one more middle name and one more family name), in France and in Germany.

That reminds me... Gmail's coming out soon... and I've never actually witnessed the rollout of such a huge email service... and when it does come out, there'll be a lot of usernames available... and, well...

In Brazil, we have iG, a now famous Internet portal, that gives free email service. I was lucky to sign up in the very beginning and I got the address av @ ig.com.br, that I like a lot.

Later, some of the features in the portal, that required an email, from the iG portal itself, to be accessed, started to refuse my email, saying that it was invalid, too short !! I had to send more than once email to the support telling them "hey, I've got an email from you with just two letters, and it's real, it's mine, you gave me !!"

Then, after a while, they fixed the problem.
The dark side is that because it has only two letters, spammers find it too easily and today I'm being targeted by spammers, in that address, with more than 20-30 spam messages a day. Sooner, I'll have to give it up.

I've noticed that, with the Grail, the ability to change one's name is now available. I'm coughing up whether I should change my name to Rameses, or just RNIII. The only problem with this new function is, with the majority of newies making use of the novelty, we'll barely be able to keep track of who's who.

My two cents.
