nice... clean, organised, as simple as possible, and yet catchy..
nice
by the way, is that a preloader I saw on the first page?
and the way pages move from right to left... how did you do that? or was it just my imagination?

yeah, I kinda thought it was just me who saw a preloader page...
I was under the impression that the site preloads all the pics before allowing to go to the next pages...
anyway...
and the dhtml script... mind giving me some pointers?
Ducati: I think the preloader question is due to the large numbers of images you use (over 90) and IE counts them down in the window status bar as it downloads them which gives the effect of a preloader. It does take a while (and this is a quick connection most of the time) but all I get is a grey screen - its a nice grey but that is all I get.
I'll try again esp. as I know your page is well worth a visit.
Well.. originally thats what I wanted to do...have some kind of preload page since this is just one big table (7800 pixels wide) so it can get pretty chunky...but after doing some searching on how to do it...I read somewhere that it is pretty much unpractical.. so I said screw it..
Script..This one was originally used on my old design with help from Doc and Mauro (Ini) who basicly wrote it.
so here it is...
1. The whole image is one table ( 500 by 7800)
2. On the top of that table is a layer (500 by 7800)
3. Each section starts on the different point on the table. For example STUDIOSONE portion starts at 0, nextone which is SERVICES starts at 1300 and so on, every 1300 pixels.
4. Script tells the image map how far to move it. So when I map an image from STUDIOSONE section to SERVICES it will move the entire leyer 1300 pixels...and so on...same thing is with going back...just set the number of pixels that you want the scroll to stop at
I love this toy...I will use it everywhere now LOL
I tried to keep it as small as possible without loosing the quality. I just didn't want those images to look dittery you know what I mean?
I think I will have to do something with the porfolio section. How I have it now is it scrolls to the examples and those screen shots are pretty big in size. Maybe I should just make a list in portfolio and when you click on it it would open pop-up (sorry Mr.Max LOL) with the clients info. That would make a big inpact on the size of the whole thing.
Can someone test this in NN??? I dont' have it installed...
edit: ok.. I had some not needed slices in there. I forgot to delete them. I had empty cells filled with grey color slice. lol duh..
It should load faster now...a little at least...

Well Ducati as said I would review it and test it in the mostly used browsers that are up to date (I think :P). As it?s a full site (With parts missing/being made I.e. portfolio) I'll do a full review.
Layout: Nice, clean and modern. I like the idea of scroll that is done by some script then doing it yourself, the colours are nice to a grey that fit nicely with the orange and white. The thing that I found a bit wrong in colour is the portfolio section, When you click a image to get the info about that work piece the text is white for the main info and a really bad orange colour for the other info. I don't think the orange works for the text as the grey fades the colour of the text, so the text is not clean and clear compared to the white text.
Graphics: Well I can't say any think as all the graphics fit fine and look great on the site.
Browser check:
IE 6 = Fine
NS 4 = Some bad images problem here and the page does not aline to the bottom of the browser. Images are all over the place in parts, save me describing all the problems see the screen caps - Main, Contact, Portfolio
NS 6 = Some image problems again but not as many as NS4. Same image problems as in NS in main.
Opera 5 = Fine but does not aline to bottom of browser.
Overall: Great work, love all of it, apart form the orange text in the portfolio and some little image problems that I think can be fixed. Fix them problems and it's a winner (Always wanted to say that ).
- I noticed that you were updating the portfolio main page with text instead of image while reviewing, which adds less to download for 56ker like me -
Ducati: The links for the screen caps I have done for you work, If they don't open, right click and save as. Sorry about the links it's brinkster and there nice, not so good free hosting.
Ducati: I am only going on DS' screenshots but it doesn't look too bad (the main one seems to be a little problematic. When I can see your pages I'll see what I can see (if that makes any sense at all).
Ducati: Its late and I've just typed out a big long review only for the browser to crash and shoot it all off to the Land of Lost Posts. I'll attempt to reconstruct my review tomorrow but I should make a couple of points now while I think about it:
I can see this at home in Op6 and IE6 and I wonder if the problem is related to IE5. Lurch what browser were you using.
There seems something funny with Opera as it sometimes worked with the javascript and sometimes didn't and it didn't line up properly. Did anyone else notice this (DS?) or was it just the Op was about to crash on me?

Using IE5 and Win2k, I also just get a lot of preloading in the statusbar and then a plain grey page. No scrollbars. Altho by rightclicking (in 4th try, the first 3 times i obviously rightclicked on an image) I could see the entire code. Isnt IE5 one of the most-used browsers to date?
Rane: "Isnt IE5 one of the most-used browsers to date?", if that is aimed at me then I meant up to date as in the newer versions of browsers as I can't go back from IE6 to crappie IE5 now can I. Rane your right that IE is the most use browser on the net.
Anyway my browser checking is only there for a ruff outline on what it looks/works like with that browser and you should never go by my results because different machines/browser?s handle web pages differently, so you going to get different result all the time. So take what you want from my reviews/ideas/results, but it?s always best to check them yourself to get a better idea.
If I check it in different browsers then it starts to make people aware of what?s wrong with the web site, then other people like you Rane test it in low versions or different OS's, which in the end results in some great advice from the coding people to fix the bad problems .
I know I rambled there, just get my message across, just in case anyone wonders why I do a browser check (and is for me because I don?t know why I do it , more pills please!!)
DS: I think Rane's comment was a more general one - does anyone know if it is possible to have IE5 and IE6 on the same PC (I seem to have IE5.5 and IE6 but it would make testing easier from the same PC).

Love the site Ducati. Anyway, the only reason I have to post is to answer Emps question.
Emps:
There is no way (as far as I know) that you can have more than one version of IE. Since what you download is the installer and it updates your current browser version. I have thought about saving it into a different folder but this only causes problems.
Ducati:
Just to let you know, on my 800x600 box, the "Contact Info" page, the "Need Hosting" image is being cut off a little.
