Seeing as how the chicken went back into the chicken cage and was trying to eat and acting like normal, that could have something to do with memory and where it is really stored. I remember hearing something about this experiment done where they removed different sections of rats brains and made them run through this maze, and no matter which section was removed, the rat always found the food. The scientist said they could not locate where exactly memory was stored. |

Actually, its brain stem was still more-or-less intact. This could possibly explain where instinctive behaviour originates. |
