We were looking through our pages of visitors to our site and caught this link that has never been seen before. Went to it and behold...our design in which we haven't sold to this person at all. As you can also see at the bottom he forgot to change the copyright link...he changed the name but, look at the address to the link when you touch it and it reads out at the bar...it's to geda-online.com. And you can see he/her just erased snapshot off of it also.

I did a who/is search for the guy's name and #, but it's not a top level domain, so it's not searchable. bummer.

Maybe from now on, you could have a log-in to see designs, or leave out certain elements or have a "sample" watermark running all across the image.......make them do some work if they're going to rip you.

I could ferret out a spam bot for ya, we can send this guy 10,000 e-mails a day...

We have changed it up that we don't display it as we use to...we make screenshots and they will have to look at that from now own. Man...some people just want to lie about how they make things don't they. We will give him a chance and see if he takes it down frst. If not then let the e-mail bombardment begin...hahahahahah

It was a mistake he forgot to take away. That's what got him caught...cause when someone click it it registers on who visited our site. Then we went there and saw it.

He left the link because he doesn't know how to use Notepad to rip properly.

The thing that totally blows me away is his site is FOR WEB DESIGN. I know people rip sites all the time for their own use, but to claim he made it and can do the same for customers is ridiculous. What a queerbo. At least you are being nice about it Allgood. I think it would be even better to ask him to make a website for you and see what he comes up with. That would be funny.

twitch^, Its not the fact that he could be stealing potential clients, its the fact that Allgood worked hard on a design he could have sold and someone came to his website, right mouse clicked on all the images, reassembled it and claims it as his own. His hard work went out the window. No matter how you look at it, its stealing.

Allgood, why don't you just admit to what really happened. You've been stealing designs for years now, it just finally caught up with you and you couldnt take the guilt of all of us assuming you were a great designer so you decided to rat on yourself. Shame on you!

Yah, I also sent of a semi-polite email, detailing my displeasure. I also made a point of CC:ing the good folks at clanpages.com, Andrew Davis amongst them, seemed like a good idea. They'll probably pull his account ASAP, he's pretty much violating their agreement several ways, first by using stolen work, and second, it ain't a clan page! SysAdmins are sometimes abrasive, but generally on our side in cases like this. Let's see what we see, cool?

Is it in poor taste to send e-mails laughing at them for having to take down there design? We can all get out the ol' digital cameras and take pictures of us pointing and laughing...

Nah, we don't need to hear from them. Apologies and contrition would be nice, but this is what success looks like. It's a shame that we need to be so "ever vigilant" like this, but such is the way of the world. At least we have the community to pull it off when we need to!

Hey...thanks all for your great help. Without my brothers and sisters in graphic helping I know that this couldn't get done. If he or she would have ask us we maybe would have let them use it but, just copy it and take it is a different story. Again thanks for all the help.

That's right, when you steal a design and/or graphics, NEVER link to the page that you stole them from.

Another thing to remember when stealing a site, if you say you used notepad on it, make sure that you remove the frontpage meta tags.
