| Nervous Wreck (II) Inmate From: NJ USA | posted 03-13-2001 01:28 I downloaded it a few months ago [hey I don't have a few hundred dollars lying around] and never bothered installing it. Is it a real improvement over 5.5 and worth my 5 minutes of installation time? |

I just downloaded the upgrade to 6.0.1 (which you will want to do if you haven't already), and hopefully that will fix most of the bugs. But it does have a lot of very nice features, I think it's an improvment. |

| Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Southern Alabama, USA | posted 03-13-2001 08:51 Depends on what you are using it for. For high resolution image adjustment and retouching there are no real new tools, and it is quite a bit slower. I use 5.0 for that (4.0 is even faster, but since it lacks the history function, I still prefer the 5.0). |

| Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: TriCites TN/VA | posted 03-13-2001 16:17 6.0 is a marked improvement, in my opinion. The menu and toolbar system is improved - I find earlier versions of PS to be clunky in comparison. I really don't like Image Ready 3.0 - to me, it's very buggy, while 6.0 has been quite stable (though I'm not surprised my experience is an exception). PS 6 is a bit slow, I suppose, but my computer is quite fast, so it makes up for it. |
