There are 4 blast that have gone off by the World Trade Center. They feel they are car bombs or cars that got so hot they exploded. At this time they feel they are car bombs

it's an eerie calm...I keep opening up PS trying to work on something... anything.

Yeah, there will be at least that many casualties I would imagine.

They don't estimate 50000 dead, they don't know yet. 50000 people *work* in the towers that collapsed... I heard one story of a woman on the 92nd floor who got out in plenty of time, so i'm sure a lot of people escaped.

Watching those towers collapse was frickin' scary, though...

Last attack by a country. This wasnt a country trying to hurt us, it was a terrorist action. Both irrelavent to each other.

The newest news release is.... there is dancing in the streets and candy being handed out in the streets of Pakastan

Todays date 9-11.....................has any thing happened in the past on this date? Are those numbers of some significance to some event...........or was today just the day that was decided apon to commit this act?

there are two United airlines planes that are unaccounted for, that were destined for L.A.

The other hijackked planes(that hit the WTC) were headed for L.A. and San Francisco.

They have now had a news release here stating....BOTH Air Force Bases have taken on Force Delta here as a state of emergency.

They have now stated the number of deaths is in the thousands just in New York alone.

They now state the main emergency state of the art communication center for this type of thing was on the 7th floor of the World Trade Center so that has really effected the communication and rescue efforts in New York.

Reports are this is the anniversary date of the Camp David Peace Accords presided over by Pres. Carter years back. Can't quite remember what countries were involved ... Egypt and some other middle east country, right?

Bush was at some elementary school in Florida talking to kids about literacy. Got the word and he gracefully high-tailed it outta there.
Colin Powell is somewhere in South America and is also heading back in a hurry.

Special FBI anti-terrorism team that normally would be all over this was on a training mission in California and was in the process of heading back home on commercial flights. All commercial flights grounded, so the team is trying to find other modes of transportation, probably military flight ...

Correct BeeKay, Israel and Egypt and their arrangements in Sinai.

As far as numbers, it's estimated that 150,000 people pass thru the Trade Center each day, no idea how many were evacuated yet. Here in Houston they've evacuated most of downtown, which has the headquarters of several major energy companies.

It's interesting that groups are condemning the attack, usually there's mutliple groups claiming involvement in something like this. I think they're realizing that retaliation will be swift and violent.

For those of you that pray, be praying. If you don't, might be time to start...
