[Mock On]
Ahh my, Insider. Such a lack of vision.. This concept of Canada being the 51st state in absentia is passé. That attitude went out with clogs and bell bottom jeans. While many Americans have been living with this self delusion, others have come to realize that Canadians have been taking advantage of the American attitudes and have been quietly staging an invasion via the entertainment industry. I think you'd be quite surprised at the number of Canadians who live and work America these days. I'd list out some names of those in the media for you, but then I'd have to have you... Silenced.
[Mock Off]
Truthfully though, as a Hybrid Can-American I can tell you that there's a huge, but subtle difference between Canada and America. If you ever get the chance to visit and experience Canada with a mind open to the idea that Canada has it's own culture and flavor, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's up to you though. You can choose to continue to live with the delusion that Canada is some shadowy extension of the U.S., or you can open yourself up to the fact that it's a country with its own diverse mosaic of cultures and traditions.

DG, you just don't get it do you. You just assume too much, which tells me a little more about yourself.
First off, if I offended you, I am sorry . But now that said let me open your fucking hard head to what I meant.
On some recent episode of the Simpsons, Homer labeled Canada as "America Junior." So for me to repeat that would be a satire which you obviously didn't catch. But I guess you wouldn't waste your precious time on meaningless, hilarious, television shows that are familiar with the american culture for 13 years.
So sorry if I pissed you off old chap, but you have to stop assuming that my comments are directly offending, or that you are superior to me. So please, if you're gonna say fuck a billion times at me again, piss off or know what your talking about "fucking tool."
It's all in fun.
edit: By the way the simpsons are on sunday at 8:00 on FOX, they are playing re-runs seing as this is summer and I am sure sooner or later within July they will air that episode again. By the way I like maple syrup. No dis-respect to a lesser corrupt country.

I celebrated today with my Eskimo friends by racing our dog sleds around our hockey rinks and drinking Molson. It was a nice day too, only 7 feet of snow!
Not as nice as "vacation" in Brazil though is it, Insider? Or being on a Brazilian computer, breathing Brazilian air, drinking Brazilian water? You were in Brazil right? I don't seem to remember you mentioning it that much... Tool.
For the fellow Canadians, happy Canada Day!

So getting back to the topic (there was one you know):
Happy Canada Day!!
I know synax has said what he did to mark the day (does the dog shit not ruin the rinks or is that where they get the pucks from?) but do you do anything special to mark the day? And what does it celebrate (I do hope it is telling us to get lost at some point ).
I'd also like to say that the UK is already the 51st state (we even have an awful film to prove) so you Canadians had better stop trying to steal our thunder (if we have any).

Aaahhh...the stupidity of it all.
Insider: You have been told before (formally I may add) not to refer to Canada as 'America Junior'. Where you heard it or who said it first is of little consequence. The very fact that you flaunt this ruling and do it again gives DL and DG every right to have a go at you. I bleieve the last time you did it helped (among other things) spawn the 'why does everyone hate me', and if you can't see why by now, thne go see your local optometrist boy, cause you need some glasses.
Happy Canada Day. Asutralia day comes up on January 26. Public holiday on a weekend...lovely

That would be the episode where they travel to Toronto. The line is said just prior to the classic "The Simpsons are going to Canada."
You really need a literary dictionary around, as you're missing the meaning of satire completely. You're a mockery, literally and figuratively by that accord. So should I stop thinking that I'm superior to you?
No worries, I don't need to think it. Knowledge is power, and in so knowing, one need never think or consider it in the equation.
"Full of themselves"...well then, finally something in common...though it's more common sense knowing what you're full of, n'est-ce pas?
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
----------------------------
As an aside, it would seem that the Simpsons come through in explaining your utter stupidity as well. Brazilian monkeys must have had their way with you, uh kid?
Now that's condescension, not satire...in case you're still learning to read that dictionary.

Well I thought I should jump in this and say HAPPY CANADA DAY to my fellow Canadians before the great holiday ends. 25 minutes left to go in Saint John, NB.
I spent my day playing soft ball, enjoying a few Molson (some stereotypes are just plain fact), cooking a nice slab of beef and watching the fireworks. What a great day.
Oh and then there's our little insider....... I'll keep my comments to myself. That's a lesson I have learned. =)

Five nights in a row of work, so Canada Day became my day off. A bit of painting outside, some appreciation for the mild/warm weather, and a stunning Alberta sunset right now.
Sleep....it's a beautiful thing.
Oh, and I'm headed over to a friend's place to discuss the merits of console gaming versus caffeinated and barley brewing.
