Yeah, I think it was Andy Art for me too. Brought me to Doc O's hands on tutorials. One day while visiting the tutoiral page, I saw a link to the forums. Lurked for a couple weeks, then finally joined. |

heh, it's funny how long you can get lost in the ozone maze and never find the forum, I was surfing Ozones 6 months or a year before I noticed a forum link |

I was collecting tutorials. Went back to Hands On for the first time in about a year. That's when I noticed the forums. I hopped right in after about 2 hours of lurking, if you can call 2 hours lurking. I still remember my first post. |

First, I found ozones, some long time ago, searching for tips on Photoshop, using altavista, probably (the one I used most in the past; now I use mostly google). Then, sometime after, through ozones, I found asylum. |

I got a link to ozones.com from some random guy in my "web design" class, and was very impressed (to be honest, i forget what the front page was at that time). I came back often for the next year or so, exploring, and eventually, when I knew the first few pages (near the beginning of the maze) very well, I easily noticed the link to the casual forums forum that DL mentioned. Registered there, and came here when doc transferred it. |

Good question - I suspect I picked up a few wallpepers from the Doc and then marvelled at his prowess and then wandered off and wandered back and marvelled again, I think I nosed around the forum and was impressed by the quality of people here, humbled by their ability I went away to improve my skills, came back and marvelled at the Doc's work a few times, wandered through a few forums looking for a home (called in at phpbuilder and devshed), marvelled at the Doc's work some more, was searching for a site with a CSS forum to ask a question that I have never asked and never found a solution to (which will be referred to only as The Question), found the GN and wandered through to the Asylum from there. |

It was sometime in the second half of 1997 that I somehow stumbled across Doc's home page. I was a regular visitor to it since then and when the forum was born it didn't take me too long to join up. |

Heh...I was in WebDesign school at the time...was searching for photoshop tuts using Metager. Found Web Developers...there was a link to Hands On. Really liked that, so I spend some time at Ozones (funny, never visited the forum, though). Found a link to the GN...hung around there for a while...very nice. Got some really good advice on how to create rubber...someone there (I think it was JKMabry) mentioned the Asylum...came over here...jumped on Jeni with my first post...(well, second. My first post was probably the worst graphic the world has ever seen...). Then I got shown 'the ropes' not sure who that was...I think it was reitsma...apologized, then I got royally burned...hehe...Ray...I'm not sure who first decided to 'have fun' with my pic...maybe Krets? It went for a whole thread...after that, I stayed, learned, grew...I've always been thankful for that...kept me humble. |

Found hands_on through an altavista search for Photoshop Tutorials. Read everything carefully, went though all the tutes in order. I came across this link in amongst all the others and thought to myself 'how do you make a fourm with photoshop?'. I followed it and ended up here. I joined almost immediatley (I was a bit of a joiner in those days). I only managed ot piss off one memeber, DL, but that was when I was already a Mad Scientist. |

Many years ago (3? 4?) ozones.com was mentioned in a computer magazine, and being new to the internet at that time I found it most impressive of course. Balls flying around the cursor, images changing when it hovered certain places - I didn't have a clue how the Doc did these things. When I checked back a few weeks (or months?) later there was a new front page, even cooler (I think that was the Tracker) and I started learning HTML and some bits of JavaScript. I might even have stumbled across the Asylum at time, but I believe that I didn't know enough English to understand what this place was all about ... some more time later found the Gurus' tutorials through ozones.com, learned more about webdesign, went to hands-on and eventually clicked the forum link, lurked, got excited, lurked some more and finally joined around christmas last year. And a bit later I noticed that the GN also has a forum and signed up there, too. |

it was 1995 my first year in college .. I was surfing the net and looking for graphically inclined websites .. as to help me create my first web page .. and I stumbled upon www.ozones.com(though it wasn't ozones.com at the time) .. five years have gone by .. I watched ozones.com as the Doc continued to put out new layout after layout .. and I was amazed and speechless .. I had not visited the site much between 1998 and 2000 .. when I strolled by the site I saw the Doc started a forum and within seconds I signed up and posted .. and then I left for about another year before I finally found my way back to this place and I now visit it daily! .. actually more then daily! .. I would say I spend about 2 hrs atleast here a day .. on and off during the days |
