is there anyway you can create multipy copys of a layer, without having to dublicate the layer 10 times |

Just right click the New Layer button at the bottom of the Layer palette as many times as you need. Beats the snot out of dragging the Layer to it 10 tens. |

the thing with the New Layer button at the bottom of the Layer palette is it makes new empty layers. |

That is so odd. The other night it was copying the Layer and not just making a new one. I can't seem to reproduce it. |

ZOX - that mill make a new layer from a selection. So you really need a 2-step process, the first being "select all". |

Or you could try to record an action - duplicating the layer - and put it on a hotkey. Phong did something similar for gaussian blurs, putting them on hotkeys F5-F8, which is quite useful. |

I always right click on a layer I want to duplicate in a layers pallete and just click on duplicate layer. |
