Things That Suck Right Now:

My milk has gone sour and I have none to put in my coffee.
I can't figure out how to get my 3-disc stereo to automatically go on to the next disc when it's done with the current one.
My inflated Discover bill came in to remind me how much I owe the world of electronics distributors.
I have to, within the next 3 days, get my car inspected, get it reregistered in the state of Texas and get a new Texas drivers license.
I can't figure out how to get rid of the smell in my apt. left by the guy who lived here before me.

Things That Don't Suck Right Now:

I don't have a hangover from last night.
I've finally finished figuring out a color code scheme to begin labeling and cataloguing all my media. (CD-Rs, VHS tapes, D8 tapes, photos...)
I got some great footage of a downtown lightning storm last night and have edited it down to the good parts. ( 357 KB Ani GIF )
I've finished tranferring my Web site to DreamHost and can stop paying for two hosts while doing it.
After three months, I'm finally done unpacking.

Speakin of color schemes - anyone doing a color makeover ( I know I will be -
once again) should suck down this book. I got a copy from the local library and will pick up my own eventually.. If anyone knows of a web site that gives similar information, I'd like to hear.

Kevincar, I have not read that particular book. Looks interesting though. I will keep that title in mind and try to get it sometime.

Though I in no way claim to have anywhere near as much information as this books seems to have, I have a humble little page about colours that I have made.
It is not quite finished yet (lacks the information about most of the specific colours and their meanings) but maybe you can find something useful there. I tried to give it a bit more of a web-related approach, instead of just general graphic design.

• I finally finished downloading the lightning gif, and it's pretty damn cool

Doesn't suck: Tomorrow's my last day of high school, period.
Sucks: I have one day left to ask a certain girl on a date or something of the sort...

SUCKS

Doc: I've got 40 minutes worth of AVI from that storm, although that's probably the best lightning strike from the whole sequence. I was gonna save it the right way, but it was just easiest to hit Export>GIF and get on with the hundred other things I had to do (and still have to do)...

No suck: ZOX, that page is great. It's helped me already. I'm seriously color-impaired (if you couldn't tell by my grey site). Check your error log for 404's though.

My existence is so utterly neutral right now, I couldn't do a Sucks/NoSucks list if I tried.

What I can say with absolute certainty, however, is that lightning storm gif is AWESOME!!!

Take a white paper, draw a square and paint it with your favorite color...
Now focus your eyes on it for 30 seconds and then look at the white part of the paper
what you will see is the complementary color of the on you chose before...

cool heh?

bms : opposite color, really. complimentary colors are chosen on a matter of opinion--opposite colors are scientific.

and yeah, since I didn't mention it before, that site that ZOX posted is absolutely fantastic. We all know how much I am obsessed with color... that rocks. Too cool

umm, yeah but 'complimentary' is the proper term for the opposite color.........

Shiii, yes i can download the whole program, but i was hoping to avoid that time consuming task .. interestingly enough, i have a copy of icq98a but i get an error #101 when i try to register using my old icq# and the customer support page is no help..

guess that means i'll have to redownload the 2000b...
