Well, my second endeavor is nearing completion. Its a cooperative effort between myself and a friend of mine. Basically we designed the site for a group of friends that we have hung out with since high school. Now we are scattered all over the globe so we wanted a place for all of us to come chat, catch up, and have a good time.

<preemptive cross-browser-argument strike>
Before I even started making this site I polled all my friends and none of them use older IE or Netscape versions. This made me happy because it let me experiment with CSS and liquidity. So if you have an old version of Netscape, its going to get ugly. You'll still be able to read the content, but the design is going to look whack.
</preemptive cross-browser-argument strike>

So let me know what you think. The misc. and links sections aren't up yet, my friend is working on those and has gotten busy with job stuff.

Enjoy!

(Disclaimer: I own no responsiblity for my friend's actions. They are, how can I put this nicely, *unique*. hehe)

No better way of finding out your clock is messed up than posting a brand new message and seeing it end up below 5 other older ones.

I got a blank screen. IE5 Mac. No error messages or anything. Oh well, I don't like curry anyway. Though it may not be bad in a burger...in moderation..

Really? I don't know anything about IE 5 for the Mac.... Weird.

None of the group are Mac-heads either so thats fortunate. Anyone know anything about IE 5 for the Mac? I have heard the two don't play well together.

"Plain as an Amish coat"

That's not fair though cuz just peeked at the front page real quick, but that was my very first impression.

Mebbe a good surfing is in order tonight?

Agreed. IE5/Mac eats it and saves none of it for the viewer.

I'll probably go back and look, God help me I don't know why.

The black accents are a bold choice man, I think it's not right. Looks like you went cgi crazy... the links style on the photogallery cgi thing is yuck, I'm sure you know that and are working on a way to fix it, I'm just positive of it. The green links in the pops is whiggety whack, matches the lettuce I reckon. The head shot photos on the popups need the aliased border to match the rest of the window.

Looks like you're having fun and it's a good way to keep in touch I reckon. Functional and fun for the friends but it's too dag burgery on the color scheme, makes me smell McDonalds, and that's not good.

What does a curryburger have to do with anything?

Bejabbers.

Just a joke name. A lot of my friends are from Sri Lanka and so they ear curry on EVERYTHING. Thus, curryburgers.

If you look at the source for the profiles page, those pics are actually two pictures. The frame is above the actual picture. I set it up that way so the guy who's helping me wouldn't have to do much with PS but resize to certain dimensions and stick the image in. The edges are jaggie yes. Just one of the things we're working on.

Used cgi on that images page so all my friends could get passwords and upload their pictures themselves. Trying to keep the workload for me down. Yes, I definitely need to do work on the colors of the links there.

The colors.... Well, I like them. Most people I have talked to like them. They say "morning after a curry meal." Methinks I'll leave em.

I'm still workin away at it!

Normally I wouldn't have even mentioned this...but...

Since you've not taken any of the observations that people have said... did you really want a review, or did you want to drive traffic? I can't think of a reason why you'd want to drive traffic to something that only makes sense to a small group of people...

just an observation.

Reading is good. And good for you too.

And the other posts have revolved around cross-browser stuff...

See, krets, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, imaging that there was something I missed.

So, um... stop being a bitch, and stuff.
